MattyP's .215 Leak Classroom

Trying to go back to earlier posts to figure out what happened. I am guessing the error 7 is due to trying to install 215...possibly on a rooted phone.

Whatever the original problem was, macpro's suggestion is going to be the best solution. To go back to bone stock, then install 215, follow these steps:

Going back to stock .211:
*On your pc, download and install Matt's Razr Utility 1.8 or 1.81 or 1.82. You can find 1.82 here:
Droid Razr Utility 1.82 [Windows] For Verizon Droid Razr And Droid Razr Maxx Only - DroidRzr.com
*Extract that utility to its own folder on your computer...you must extract the file on your pc. It will not work from your phone.
*After the utility is extracted, go to the Motorola drivers folder in the utility and make sure you have the latest Motorola drivers installed on your pc.
*make sure your phone is set to usb debugging mode (menu>system setting>developer options).
*Power your phone off. Then power your phone on while holding down your power, the volume up and volume down buttons simultaneously.
*Connect your phone to your computer with the factory supplied usb cable.
*On your phone select AP Fastboot, then in the utility select option 1..."restore phone to stock .211. Do not unplug the usb cable until the utility finishes.
*When completed your phone should reboot to stock .211.
*After running option 1, restart phone to make sure all is fine.

Install the .215 leak:
*check to make sure usb debugging mode is checked (menu-> system setting-> developer options).
*Then in settings, go to “Security" and check “Unknown sources."
*install the .215 leak following instructions here:

Clover, what version do you have in your phone? .211 or .214?

To go back to stock .211 using that utility, it doesn't matter if he has .211, .214 or .215...it works the same for all those versions. On the other hand, if he was still on GB, then that would be a whole 'nother huge problem.

I have the 215 leak as well.. Chrome is not in my apps list to update either...

So i did finish reading and know what the problem with finding it was. But as a side note to not being able to find apps. I was messing around with my sisters razr who has the .215 patch. She was giving the phone to my mom so I FDR it and was setting it up for her. I noticed that the stock apps would not show up in the play store when you go to the my apps list. In order to update them I had to go to them individually and do it. Once they got updated however, they did finally show up in the my apps list on the play store. Its not a big deal just found it odd and not sure if it may be a .215 related thing. I never had the issue on my phone, but I'm guessing because i use TB and just reload everything in one shot anyway.

I just applied Leak 215 to my ICS 404 RAZR and the last thing displayed in "Install from sdcard complete" but the menu is staying on the screen. From the instructions I read into it that it will boot itself "am I correct" ?
The menu has been up for 15 minutes on the screen.

Some people have had to reboot manually. You should be good to go

No official date. First quarter of 2013 I think is the estimate

I'm still on the .210 leak. Will this upgrade work for me or do I need to do something special first? And just to be clear and it's not a typo I'm running .210.

I've noticed one MAJOR downfall in this update... Makes me wish I hadn't installed it!! You can't choose default apps!! There's no way to do so!
