This is FALSE!
If you boot in to CW recovery and go to nandroid>advanced restore, you have the option to restore whatever part you want.
Just be sure to wipe the sections you want to restore also
not sure if anyone posted for you yet since i stopped reading at this post and decided to let you know what i did.
1. use clockworkmod recovery
2. wipe data/cache - factory reset
3. load backup per directions
4. flash new kernel and radio (if you wish)
5. do NOT log into google account when the phone comes back on
6. download the apps you want from market or backup from TB
7. now go to menu>settings>accounts&sync and log into google account
8. don't forget flash 10.1
9. ENJOY
This is what I did and it's the only way I could do it that would not cause the phone to crawl and bug out. hope this helps
Well this is nice and all, but I'm going back to bugless beast until somebody comes up with a flashlight app that works on froyo. It's a very small thing, but not having it really sucks. I use it several times a day now.
Have you ever tried quick settings its a cool app that lets you change your volume, gps, wifi, bluetooh and brightness and has a flashlight in it. you can have it in your notification tray. should check it out
Ok cool. Weird that a theme would break the market like that. Unless this leak has something new in it tied to the market that the themed market doesn't have (from the original leak) if that makes any sense lol
OK I just updated via Clock work. Here is what I did:
Downloaded file and extracted 2010-06-08.03.05.55
Copied 2010-06-08.03.05.55 to my cloclworks backup folder on the SD card
Booted into recovery
Backed up current system.
Restored 2010-06-08.03.05.55
Loaded 1.25 Kernel
Restored data from last backup.
Rebooted.
Everything there and working great!!
Please note I do not have any after market themes just personal background picture.
the only way a theme would break it is if its a whole new market. I would wait until I report the theme other apks could have change and you guys just loaded all the old apk from the previous leak

i am having a similar problem..
Checking MD5 sums...
Erasing boot before restore...
REstoring boot image...
Error while flashing boot image!
i have tried the spr method as well and failed.
i have the firmware version 2.1 - update1
i have tried on multiple different roms.
the general recommended instructions have been followed exactly.
i have followed all instructions from fellow users with no positive outcome.
