I didnt see this answered yet when I posted before. How do I set the phone to vibrate only? Its not in the sounds options. Just vibrate with volume on, never or always. I don't want always cause I dont want it when I sleep. and at work I want vibrate with no sound. and when you use the rocker to lower volume it goes from the lowest volume to silent with no vibrate option. I had to install a widget to ge it to vibrate only. Am I missing something?

First timer, i first off want to say, this can be difficult to really understand if you had to learn by yourself, but in the end. all is well...

Also, amazing work on froyo.

I got really easy questions im thinking but might as well get my hair wet, already in the pool.

I was wondering about launchers. What are compatible with froyo. I am aiming for the pinch app to see all your home pages... and only one i know of is launcher pro. and it only has 3 pages... also a replacement for EoEAppLauncher... From market its free and its not working "Force Close" Every time...

i am use to that app to install .APKs

One last thing... A FULL INSTALL GUIDE OF THE LATEST UPDATES, trying to go through the forums crazy if you want to do things the easy way

While ur in Launcher Pro just hit menu than preferences and choose how many screens you want. I have 5 at the moment

I don't think you are missing anything.
I'm not liking this new 'lack of feature" either.
The first leak thread, someone mentioned it will be in the final release. But I'll take that with a grain of salt because who knows for sure what will and won't be in the final until it's released.
I use Beautiful widgets now to activate vibrate mode. I guess it's actually quicker that way because its just a tap of an icon and voila! You're in vibrate mode as opposed to holding down the volume rocker. But I still wish this was an option!

Haven't seen any other responses to figure this out yet, so maybe it is simply like stated, not an option with this build :icon_evil:

I would have to check the othe builds but the one from alldroid has the vibrate options you want.

Yeah the widget works but its easy to forget as opposed to using the volume rocker. I hope they fix it in the final build and thanks for finally answering my question.

Volume rocker puts mine on vibrate. Try the froyo from alldroid...should get you straight.

I installed the latest Froyo release last night and had no problems, but now I am trying to revert back to a CW backup i made of Nexbeast 1.1 but I can not get my recovery console to come up. I also didn't see the CW screen when I installed the P3 Kernel. I did search this but came up empty and can't accees the server on mydroid world(too busy)..any tips? Thank you!

Did you flash SPRecovery to install 2.2? If so, did you remember to flash Clockwork again after 2.2 was installed?

Just quickly what launcher should you have if you download the latest version of froyo. Everything on my phone is 2.2 for sure. But system/app says I have "launcher" and another person I'm testing with has launcher2.apk. Is one of us missing a step or is it both of us?

What recovery app comes up when u go into recovery mode?
Use ROM Manager to re-flash CW. I, too, lost CW once and the fix was to use RM to flash Alternate Recovery (SP ) and then flash back to CW (perform this twice ).

Had to go back to the previous froyo because tthis one broke my FB, engadget, and hurt my internet. I couldn't get a connection to this site or FB and my engadget app couldn't connect to their servers.

Called the Credit Card company. They have no record of anything even being attempted. Not even a $2.99 hold. The CC company thinks there is an issue on Google's end. Probably with the data they have on file for me. Off to find what that is!

Well I have it finally. As soon as I logged in to my account from the PC and hit show purchases, it showed up on the phone 10 seconds later.

No clue why or how that caused it to work but at least now I can go back to testing

I have been stuck at authorizing purchase (Root Explorer) for about an hour. I have applied the fixes and still no go. Also have canceled the download then started over with same hang up.

I did a refund thinking that it would go thru the second time but it is hanging up too.

I logged into checkout hoping that somehow that would help. I can see where it has been purchased but it is still stuck on the phone.

Didn't see this until after I made y post. The purchase finally went through, but it was easily over an hour later. Don't know if it is because of the OS or because they were having issues with the app market. Seems apps were/are disappearing from the market when developers try to push updates to them.

Not to say it wasn't true for you, but i have not had any issues with FB, Engadget, or general internet browsing with this version.
