More Froyo

Reboot into recovery and flash a rom that uses sprecovery. Get it up and running, install rom manager then restore your nandroid backup.

Just tried that. Downloaded the SPRecovery version of this Froyo ROM, booted to SPRecovery and mounted via USB, copied the froyo SPR to /sdcard/nandroid, did factory reset and advanced nandroid restore of the froyo SPR rom. Reboot and it hangs at the "M".

Try installing a rom like bugless beast or some other rom using sprecovery

or

just cut your losses and go rsdlite.
Managed to install Cyanogenmod 5.0.7.1 via update.zip method from sprecovery. Flashing back to an older Clockwork now, going to try recovering my previous 5.0.7.1 backup. crossing fingers.

In the future if you try to load using ClockWork and you can't get in to recovery use ROM Manager to reinstall ClockWork Recovery. This will save you the hassles that you experienced.

Have you tried a reinstall of SetCPU?

did that and it increased to 528

I am trying to duplicate and the only way i was able to get those numbers was to go into settings and click custom frequencies at the bottom. Make sure you are on auto detect and not custom frequencies

I cleared all the cache in setcpu, then deleted and reloaded setcpu, still had issues. So I went in and reloaded 1.1 and it switched to 1100, then I reloaded 1.25 and it switched. Guess something was just blocking, but it seems to be working now. Thanks for making an effort for me, I truly appreciate it.

Bit the bullet.
Backed up, Wiped Data and Cache Twice.
Advanced Nandroide Restore one step at a time.

Currently booting, already at the eye...

im pretty sure if you flash Team Chaos theme on your froyo it changes the test keys back to 33333

i didnt wipe my phone to verify this theory but i did try the froyo from Droid life

( its the same if you ask me, cept for the google kernel )

and my test keys were something like 38829 or w/e.

i redid my phone and later when i rechecked my about phone, the test keys reverted back to 33333 yet my kernel still says android-build.

hence test keys mean absolutely nothing.

oh and im not sure of the relationship between Droid life and DF but i took that thread they posted as some way of tryin to steal DF/ MDW 's thunder
of posting the 1st froyo release when in reality what they posted was pretty much the same thing.

just my opinion of course ^^

nah droidlife just post the latest android news with out having to go through a forum. Its pretty much the news around the android community in one spot. Its a good source for what is new on android.

Having a problem here. I flashed to this Froyo ROM this morning, using the Clockwork image. I used ROM Manager + Clockwork to make a Nandroid backup of my existing ROM (Cyanogen 5.0.7.1) before I did so. I played with Froyo for a while and decided to go back to Cyanogen. Found that Clockwork wasn't letting me into recovery to do so, so I copied my Cyanogen nandroid backup to /sdcard/nandroid and then used ROM Manager to flash SPRecovery. I booted into SPRecovery, did a factory reset (data/cache) and did an Advanced Nandroid Restore of the Cyanogen backup. Reboot and the device just hangs on the "M" screen.

Any ideas?

Reboot into recovery and flash a rom that uses sprecovery. Get it up and running, install rom manager then restore your nandroid backup.

Just tried that. Downloaded the SPRecovery version of this Froyo ROM, booted to SPRecovery and mounted via USB, copied the froyo SPR to /sdcard/nandroid, did factory reset and advanced nandroid restore of the froyo SPR rom. Reboot and it hangs at the "M".

By the way, your initial attempt to copy your clockwork backup to another folder and restore via SP will fail every time, the two backups are incompatible with each other and their respective recoveries

That's because I modified the build prop so you can see your apps in the market. Its in the market fix as well. This all the same build people relax and enjoy your froyo
