More Froyo

okay I need some major help here

I'm currently on the old 2.2 build. I want to install the newer one. When I reboot my droid while holding x, to get to the recovery menu, all the phone does is stay on the motorola logo. Once I let go of x it just reboots the phone.

any ideas? :\

U keep holding x and let go of the power button.

In case I wasnt clear:

Once the Motorola logo shows up, u can let go of the power button, but make sure u keep holding x.

I believe from reading the last thread you will need to go into market download rom manger then flash clockwork then flash sprecovery from clockwork. they sad you might have to flash it twice...a few people had that issue.

Man i got all these custom png on my phone now I have to redo it all after flashing this. I hate having the need to tinker and have the latest lol.(i also enjoy it though)
I may wait until the am and see if any issues arise overnight

I may have done something wrong, but a warning to those who dont like having to put their phone back in order between flashes of froyo. I installed it using clockwork and didnt wipe my data or cache and it still wiped the damn data and cache. My phone is back to stock AGAIN. Really annoying because I thought like other roms of the same type it would just update the rom but keep everything the same. Just a warning.

Is ultimate droid new era their froyo rom? and if so has anyone tried to get it through rom manager? Kinda not working for me, it downloads then just disappears, I'm a noob...no big deal but that would be SOOO easy.

Ok so after installing this new one from the older one with a theme everything seems fine. My phone is syncing right now so I am getting all my apps back as I am typing. I will need to see if I can reinstall the theme I was using before.

New era is not the froyo rom. Not sure if he named it anything but New era was 2.1 based.
