I am having shortcuts to direct dial/messaging disappear as well.
I only have 4 shortcuts and they are all fine, i don't use folders but my shortcuts all came back and have stayed without any issues.
My shortcuts only go away if I put them in a folder.
There is NO 5gig limit on Droid unlimited data plans.

5gig limits are for Aircard tethering plans for laptops or pcs using an aircard.
Yes, let me verify that. There is no limit we don't need to go into that issue in this thread. Unlimited is exactly that.

I normally don't keep folders on my screen, but I tested it and you were right... The three icons I placed in there dissapeared. I chose 3, 2 system ones and one download from the market and they all dissapeared. Weird.

there is a hulu app on the market but its a hulu bookmark
#1, there's no hulu app - just a number of hacks to get hulu to not block mobile devices.
#2, other posters mentioned the 5gb limit not existing - but I think you hit the nail on the head calling it a "soft limit". Nobody says don't go over 5gb, but it's probably not a good idea to do it if you are doing anything against the rules, like tethering. Watching streaming videos is well within the expected use of a smartphone, though
#3 if you are worried about it, switch to wifi whenever you can. speed will be better, especially for videos.
#4, install the app called "Network Monitor". It will let you watch your network usage and can alert you when you cross user-defined thresholds (1gb, perhaps?)
LOL! Somebody is paying $1.50 for a bookmark! Developers should be charged for putting crap like that on the market..

Running Bugless Beast 2.1 the Wifi Tether for Rooted Users on the market worked for me, but since going to the second release of Froyo with the 800 kernel, I can't get wifi tether to work with access control enabled. It works fine when I disable access control. I tried the most current build on xda, but that didn't work either.
