Motorola Droid Bionic Joins the Droid Family!

If this is a true, vanilla Google/Android experience w/o a locked bootloader, then this will definitely be my next phone. Perfect timing for me come next quarter for renewal.

The phone has Blur. Not sure about the bootloader. I might actually have to pick this up, Verizon sure didn't give us very many high end devices to choose from.

I'm FULLY prepared for Tmobile & AT&T to now take jabs at Verizon for jumping the 4g gun...yet not even have a pricing plan available.

Crying Wolf at it's finest.

"Hey...we have 4g...but...it wont be available until we release the pricing plans..which...we can't discuss".

"Verizon brought Motorola Mobility Chief Executive Sanjay Jha on stage to show two 4G devices, including the Droid Bionic smartphone and Xoom tablet, both of which run Google's Android software and have dual-core processors. The Bionic launches in February, but won't run on 4G until an update comes in the second quarter. The Xoom also launches in teh second quarter."

This was in today's Seattle Times paper. Looks like the Bionic will be released in Feb but not run as a 4G phone until sometime in Q2.

I am all over that. Xoom too depending on pricing, but the Bionic for sure.

This is incorrect info. It's the Xoom that will be launched in February, and it will be 3G at first, then upgraded to 4G in the second quarter. They said 4G phones will be coming in March.

Okay...this is sickening. Does Verizon really have the nerve to send me an email bragging about the thunderbolt...yet there are no details on a plan, or release date....?

The hell are they thinking?

512MB of RAM while AT&T gets the better phone? And the Droid line of phones brought Moto out of the brink of obscurity.Hopefully htc/LG will step it up.

I'm with you -- I'm considering jumping to AT&T.

I have been reading that it is 1G because of the whole P.C thing. It uses 512 for the Phone and 512 for the P.C. So you are actually getting the Same phone.. I was thinking the way you guys was thinking. But after doing some research I am going with the Bionic. It is Basically the same phone except for the P.C part and the Bionic has a bigger screen.. Plus Verizon is better where I am. At&t stinks where I am...
