Motorola Droid Case Reviews

Just got the Shell/Holster combo from Verizon. First off, I can tell you its so much easier to install and remove than the Body Glove its amazing. Yet it does feel just as tight as the Body Glove. I really like this set. It keeps the device slim and also keeps the "industrial" look of it. Stays in the holster very well and feels good. A+ so far.

Well I just looked at another thread about the top right hand corner not fitting correctly. I also have this problem. Didn't notice until I put the phone down and started to use it while it was on the table. Because of the top right corner not clipping on the device fully it wobbles. Hmmm... what to do...

Get the Seidio case + holster. :icon_ banana:

Looks like Sena finally made a case for the Droid.
I also got my elega, fits nice. I like how a bit sticks out, makes it nice and easy to grab the phone :)

Here are some pics

Is that the droid specific case?

Which has its own problems too. So far 2 of the people who have gotten it and commented on the Seidio discussion are very unhappy with it. It sure looks very nice, but looks don't translate into functionality if you want to use the slide out keyboard. So far there is no perfect case/holster combo. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

The tang on the top right corner of the Verizon combo doesn't engage on mine either, but it doesn't matter to functionality. I'm not totally happy with it, but it doesn't hurt the functionality of the case. Mine does not wobble on the table though. I'm thinking of just taking my Dremel and grinding off that tang so that the corner sits where it is supposed to, but my wife convinced me to wait until my 30 days are up on the holster/case. Someone in another forum did that and said that it is much better. That tang is not needed at all to hold the case on the phone.

I'm getting the following case that was posted here - black rubberized hard case for the Motorola Droid

BLACK Rubberized Phone Cover Hard Case Motorola Droid - eBay (item 260509727978 end time Dec-19-09 21:26:13 PST)

I'm getting it from an Ebay store, Pawavenue, buy it now. Today Pawavenue emailed me, apologizing for the delay over Thanksgiving. Pawavenue then told me that some people had complained that the front cover on the old case got loose. He (or she, don't know) checked it out, and it was loose. They are sending me a case that's a little bit different (more cutouts) but the front cover is on more securely. I got a new picture of the case and it looks fine to me. I'm supposed to let them know if that's not OK -- they can send me the other case, but they prefer not to. It's fine by me if I get a case where the front cover is more secure.

Oh yeah - the case went out - free shipping too, and they are adding a free screen protector.

For a $10.00 case, I think that's charming.

And no, I still don't have my Droid yet, just planning ahead (!) - maybe next week.

I ordered this one, Had it in a couple of days, Fits tight but one problem. Apparently it covers the prox senor. As soon as I place/receive a call it goes dark and stays dark. Had to desconnect by remembering the approx location of the drop button. Popped the top cover off and it works fine.

just to add...thats actually been a problem with many droids lately. so it may not entirely be because of the case...

I returned the Sena one. The fit was way too tight for anyone that would plan to slip it in and out more than twice a day. They are beautiful though (and expensive).

Nevermind my last post...
I jumped the gun and bought the pouch for the iphone and didn't like the fit. Sena has since come out with really elegant and slim one for the Droid. haha
I'm a little impatient at times...

Planning to turn my Storm 2 in for a Droid tomorrow before my 30 days runs out. From reading all 31 pages, it appears that I can use the pouch I bought for the blackberry but need to have screen facing the magnet?

I plan this only as a stop-gap until I can get a great pouch type case for the Droid.

Should have kept using it. It's leather, so it gets better with use. I've had mine for a month now and it fits great. Slides in a out like a champ.

As much as I would like to buy the Sena case, it appears that the case covers the notification LED on the phone. I need to be able to see the message alert LED even when it is in the case. This would have been so simple to get right by leaving the case short 1/2 inch on one side. Bummer...
