New baseband too??

Getting 2Mbps download which is up from ~1.7Mbps down before this baseband update. My upload speeds stayed around the same at .6-.7Mbps. I was using speedtest.net app for these readings. What is everyone else getting?

Sorry that was tethered through wifi and using speedtest.net website not the app. Getting about 1267 down and 800 up through the android app speedtest.net

Yes, That compars with mine... Speedtest App on the phone... pretty asyncronous vs. before Much faster down vs. up...

With this new baseband I am getting 1985kbps download and 866kbps upload. For 3G that is really fast. I miss my themed roms, but Froyo is lightning fast.

It definitely seemed to help, here's my results for signal strength and speed tests. The pre test was about 15-20 minutes before the post test using the same severs in sayreville,nj. An average of four tests was taken as the final result. Either way thanks a lot guys!

Signal strength before (v3p): -67 to -69 dbm, three bars
1135.75 kbps down/ 734.5 kbps up

Signal strength after: -64 to -76 dbm, five bars to start now at four
1606 kbps down/699.75 up

I just applied the update.zip and I was running android 2.1 before I did. i don't see any difference. does the update only work on 2.2 or ?? what's different for me now if anything?

Thanks CK for clearing this up. I searched, and after 5 links, I decided to post (first thread here I posted, ever, so I am not into re-posting, but you can see that:) I will say that I am stoked for these releases and P3Droid frigging' rocks! His kernels fly too:) What is next?

allright im having a problem, i upgraded to the new baseband and activated and everything was fine, then i switched to somebody elses version of the froyo release, and for some reason it asked me to activate it again. but now it says it cant be programmed successfully and i have no idea why and i have no service

Tried it normal way, said they couldn't activate it. Tried *22899 and it said to hold while activating, then it disconnected and a popup came up saying "programming unsuccessful"

what do yall think?

In my case, using SpeedTest app from the market, connecting to the San Diego server closest to me...

Before the update:
-89 dBm
2.06Mbps UP
0.85Mbps DN

After the update:
-86 dBm to -87 dBm.
1.80Mbps UP
0.84Mbps DN

I ended up installing the .03P baseband update again.

i had pretty much exact same problem, even went back to the old baseband and it wont activate.. maybe too many people reactivating at once? i'm hoping... or else i'm gonna have to try one more time in the mornign and if not, talk to verizon customer service and come up with some excuse

weird cuz i actually activated with it earlier in the day and it was fine, i dont know y it asked me to reactivate in the first place but now seems to be a universal issue?
