New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

I was a bit late to the party, too, 69copo. Looked up at the thread title, AFTER getting all excited, and saw the thread dating back about 20 years or so. Figures.

I did notice, though, when looking at my accounting details, that there is an option to go from paying X amount of dollars for 700 minutes to paying 50 dollars for unlimited. What's that about, and how come Verizon didn't offer this to me? For what it's worth, my wife and I've had these Charge phones for about a month. First time ever dealing with Verizon.

Has anyone successfully complained enough to get this promo after it ended?

I didn't have to complain at all. I simply called and told then if the add that I read and where I read it and they gave it me. It was easy and painless. Saved me a small fortune. Now I can add another line when the Prime comes out.

I talked to my Corporate Store, I am on this plan.. and they said No Problem Keeping it with the Bionic. And when I checked to Upgrade online it actually Gave me a " Warning do no change your plan" . and said if I change it would be hard to get back. They say the only way I would Lose the Unlimited Data is if I switch to a Non Smart phone.

I'm calling this number today, just added a third smart phone to my family plan, I now have five lines, and even if it is 19.99 for the feature phones to be added that's better than 90.00 for three data plans...

I called and was not able to get it, however the lady put me on something where I get $10 off of each data plan per month for the next year, which saves me $30 so... it comes out about the same

Mayb cuz i had it before but someone in my account changed the plan when they upgraded to the iphone in march.

My wife and I have this plan. On a few occassions when we've had to deal with the VZW store or the regular Customer Service toll-free number, they manage to screw up the discount, then give all sorts of excuses for why they can't fix it. I always have to call the special toll-free number that I originally called to get this deal in order to get it fixed.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience renewing through a third-party, like Amazon, to get their lower prices on the phone. Did you lose the discount and where you able to get it back?

I renewed via Costco to get the Bionic deal and had no issue keeping the discount. It was not dropped or anything as they did not have to touch my plan for the upgrade

I just called the number from the promo ad... The Verizon rep I talked to, said that that promo was expired and could NOT give me that deal anymore.... HOWEVER.... he did give me $9.99 off per data plan per month for 1 year! Still very Awesome!:icon_ banana:

Also, I did verify that it would not affect my Unlimited Data plan status, or upgrade status at all. All it did was extend the contract agreement for an additional year. So that an extra $240 in my pocket over the next year just for calling and asking! One other thing, he did mention that the $9.99 off Data discount was not going to be available very much longer. He was actually surprised that the discount code still worked, so you better call asap.

I've got 2 data plan, so it'll save me $20 a month.
