This was a cool promo. I'm glad I convinced everyone to let us jump on it a year ago. Four line all smart phones unlimited data 9.99/line.

All together we save $80 a month.

I'm bumping this thread. It's been over a year since the original post. This promo is supposed to be good on your plan indefinitely (as long as you don't make any changes), but I've heard other people say they were told it's only for one year. We're past the one year mark, or close to it, so make sure you're checking that this promo doesn't fall off automatically. :) Although I'm sure you'll notice if your bill is suddenly $20-$100 more... lol. If you have any issues, give us a head's up on what happened and what you did to "fix it".

The promo plan itself is no longer available, but you can still call the number listed on that promo ad and request the $10 off per month per data plan (discount will last for 1 year)... I did it back in September, and I know someone who did it just a couple weeks ago. I don't know if is still available, but it is worth calling about. I was told by a former Verizon store employee that this was a standard discount that corporate customer service reps have at their disposal to satisfy unhappy customers, or those who are planning on jumping to a different carrier. The discount lasts for on year, and requires you to extend your service agreement for 12 months. So as long as you don't plan on switching anytime soon, it's a no-brainer.

I went searching for this thread a couple weeks ago and couldn't find it. I knew the promo was only available through the marketing department (folks -- SAVE that phone number in the ad, because they will be able to help you when regular Verizon reps can't). I thought this promo was going to expire and I wasn't looking forward to getting hit with the extra $40 a month (for the two extra lines) and was thinking of switching to another carrier. I found the original ad and then called the number. The woman on the phone said my plan wasn't only for a year, it was good until 2038 or something like that. I was pretty ecstatic. Only thing that worries me is that I'm going to have to make sure any time I get a new phone or something that NOTHING in my plan changes. To make sure that happens, I'm going to call the marketing folks anytime I need new hardware. This was a pretty sweet deal for so many of us, eh?

So far I am good with the 4 phones on my account. I made changes with the Bionic about 2 months ago, and a Stratosphere for my Daughter a week ago, both from Best Buy. The plan continues, but I had to buy in the store. I could not get them online and keep the plan w/BBY

I got the bone on this offer a couple months ago...
I've got 4 lines... 2 smart, 2 dumb...
I tried converting a third to a smart phone a couple months ago, and was told it couldn't be upgraded to a smart line.. they tried putting me into the 2 gig per line offer... I told them that THAT WAS NOT how I was explained the package I signed up with. I was TOLD I could convert the dumbs to smart at any time (it worked for one line shortly after I signed up with the package)... so I'm stuck with 2 smarts and 2 dumbs, until feburary... but, come feb, the dumb lines are gone anyways... I even tried back the next day, basically got the same line... I was also told it was a one year plan, but at the time, I didn't think to ask if I could continue on, or would I be stuck with 2 gig plans......

It's still on my acct and we're at 1 year now. I've added a line with data, and while the new line didn't get the discount, we were allowed to keep the discount on our plan. We've all also upgraded to 4G devices and no issues whatsoever. After one change, it fell off but they were quick to put it back on. From what I've heard, the promo is supposed to stay active, so I'm crossing my fingers cause we have 4 lines with data & it saves us a really good amount on our bill, as I'm sure you all know.

I originally signed up for this on November 8, so I am almost at 13 months and still have it on all 5 lines. The only time I had to call in was when I switched 3 lines from featurephones to smartphones (this was in March when the promo was over). Changing from one data plan to another caused the promo to fall off when the old featurephone unlimited data plans were dropped, but because the promo was over, the promo did not get automatically added back on due to adding the smartphone data plan. A call to the marketing department quickly fixed this as they submitted requests to add back the expired promo. Since then, I have upgraded 4 of the 5 lines from 3G smartphones to 4G smartphones and the promo never dropped off.

I'm so pissed, that I missed on out on this deal. I will call that number today and look into the $10 discount per data package, because that could still save me half of what I could have potentially save. I just don't want to loose a phone upgrade as a result of the contract extension.

My primary line just earned its upgrade back and I have another line with an upgrade ready to go, but I don't want to loose them without upgrading a couple of phones first. I'm curious as to, which lines gets the contract extension?
