New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

I've read a lot about this from other forums as well. It seems like the only option is to be extremely persistent. My wife and I are planning to finally get our own plan with smartphones and this $140 deal would be wicked.

so... my feature discount disappeared after the change. this happen to anyone else? i just called to find out more and they said that I get the greater discount between the two.

weird timing, though, since my billing cycle ends on the 13th, i called on the 14th, and my amount owed on this cycle is minus both discounts. i was told, however, that i'd be credited both months on the next bill ($40), so I'll have a nice deep discount.

sucks I can get the feature discount on top of it all. but my bill goes from $98/mo to $84/mo. every little bit helps! $84/mo for 900 min and unlimited everything else is my kind of plan!

Watch your bill. What they do is this: 1. They charge you for last months bill, then credit that month back to you. 2. They charge you the new rate for last months bill, which should be cheaper. However in my bill they forgot to give me the $20.00 data and text discount. They did include that on the pro rated bill.

I called and pointed out the error which was difficult to do but they saw I was right and r=credited me $20.00 All in all it's 5.00 a month I save, I'll take it.

when i said minus the discounts, i meant without. i won't see any discounting until my bill is owed in Feb (or i guess the end of the cycle, 1/13).

Alright, so this is what I did to get it to work, I probably tried more then anyone to get this promotion (6 times!) with no luck, I tried being completely honest saying I didn't receive an E-Mail and I wanted the promotion, to saying that I did receive one, and every situation ended up with them saying that since they have no record of me receiving an E-Mail, they can't offer me the promotion.

This time I called the number on the flyer, and told the gentlemen straight up that I called before and was told that I was not eligible for this promotion, but I heard others who were not eligible who were able to receive it. He said that unfortunately I did not qualify, so I asked who I could speak with to make this happen, and he said I could talk to his supervisor but he will say the same thing. I was on hold for 5 minutes, then he came back saying his supervisor approved me for this deal! So now I get the $69.99 promotion for 1 year, and I get to keep my 15% employer discount, so I will be paying $61 for 450 minutes and unlimited text/data!

based on my conversations with their CSRs, once this promotion has been applied, it doesn't disappear after your 1-yr agreed upon contract. can anyone else confirm?

once you have the deal, the deal sticks, unless you change your plan.

This seems to be the consensus. Of course, the deal will prob be void once 4G really hits... But until then... There is also the "Smartphones Talk Free" 9.99 discount promo going on (which is what most of these CSRs probably think we're trying to get), but that promo is only for 2 years.

That would be great if it does, he said this promotion is only valid for one year though. I guess we will see when that comes, but in a year I'm sure I will be running a 4G phone which will require a different plan, so I'm not too worried about it.

Got the first bill after all the catch up is done, we are on the 2 line $139.99 plan. total for the month $154.71, savings of roughly $30.00 I'll take it!!

I went in on a Sat (12/4) and got the BOGO. An X for me and a D2G for the wife. I called the Promo Number on Wed. (12/8), got the new plan plus another BOGO X and D2G for the kids.

I asked about the life of the Promo and the CSR (Laura) said the promo would not expire.
