New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

I called 877-873-3278 and said I had a flyer and wanted to know about the unlimited data promo. He did not indicate that it was for a select group of people. All lines do not have to be smart phones.

I had:
5 lines
1400 minutes
unlimited texting
2 lines with unlimited data
$210 per month

I now have
5 lines 1400 minutes
unlimited texting
5 lines with unlimited data
$200

So I am saving $10 per month and got unlimited data for 3 additional lines!

The guy I spoke to was Kevin. We were disconnected during the call and I had to call back. He answered both times and stated it's a very small department for this promotion. Keep calling back until you get Kevin!

Just got of the phone with Big Red and.....

They added a note onto my account that says I heard about the promo and I'm VERY interested in it.

So as soon as it's openly available to the public... I'm first in line for an e-mail about it!

70 bucks a month vs. 100 bucks a month for the SAME PLAN I have now...

Um. No. I'm not interested in saving 30 bucks I could use towards Gas or Cigarettes or... other things...

And I've only got 11 more months till I can get my Upgrade...

That's 11 more months of new phones coming out. Hopefully a MOTOROLA DualCore Device (Cool Name Suggestion: Motorola Droid X Squared *HINT HINT*) comes out.

I can't wait. Upgrade Time is gonna be a happy time.

phone purchases do not affect your plan, but signing up for this promo require a 1-yr renewal. if you're up for a phone upgrade, you typically get the discount only after you sign up for a 2yr extension to your contract. would be interesting to see how they handle stacking the two. does your plan expire 2yrs from upgrade, or 3?

When I called they said my contract was going to remain the same.

It would be interesting, I'm just afraid that if I sign up and they give me the 139.99 promo. And then do BOGO Jan 8th or later (secondary line eligible for upgrade, currently LG EnV) that the 2yr agreement signed to get BOGO (DX and Fascinate) would override the 1yr contract of 139.99.

My new every 2 for primary is in July, but my 1 year upgrade is ok anytime. I last signed a contract in November, when moto droid was released. So 2 yr contract would expire nov 2011.

I'm not really sure what else we can tell you DroidCoug. I think you should just give it a shot since you're going to be upgrading anyways. Some people are not getting the promo at all, so i think if you can get it now, do it. If they try to change it when you go to upgrade, make a stink right there in the store and go as high up the ladder as necessary. But I'm guessing you should be fine.

I was told (and a lot of other people were told) that this does not affect upgrades or anything. So if I still have this plan in 2 years when I upgrade my phone, the plan will stay the same, just the phone will change and the contract gets renewed.

I don't work for Verizon, and I think the majority of the people on this site do not, so we can only help you so much. You just have to pull the trigger and be persistent on what you want.

from what i gather the answer is No. This is for family share plan but i could be mistaken.

For an individual account, you can get a $69.99 plan for 450 mins, unlimited text, and unlimited data. So might not save you any money, but it could be beneficial if you wanted text.

Does anyone who got this promotion have a phone they ordered through wirefly? I got a phone from wirefly about a month and a half ago, and they state you cant change your monthly rate to anything lower than to what was agreed upon for the first 6 months.

Technically this would make it lower while getting more. I assume they meant you cant agree to say, an unlimited data package and then switch to the 200 MB a month package for the first 6 months, but if all I'm doing is getting more features for a little less, would they consider this breaking our agreement?
