New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

When I worked in the VZW Call Center there was pretty much a 30 day rule, so if you were within 30 days of eligibility upgrade, you were fine to offer the upgrade then.

Not anymore... Its much less now. If you worked in Care you know how often everything changes. :-)

I was there for 2-1/2 years and a senior rep. I have a lot of VZW friends in Care and BSC and they are telling me the stories. Doesn't sound like scoring calls got any easier either to get leading.

Being a CCM got harder too... Especially with what I cannot say on this place... I never understood the secrecy on certain things.

I just called and it worked. the service rep transfered me to the customer loyalty dept. and i now have the discount on both lines! thanks for the thread.
 
Well first attempt was a bust and the guy said he had no idea what i was talking about, second time around went much differently. I had to upgrade my plan to a nation wide talk and text plan since i didn't have unlimited text before. but all said and done it saved me about $25 a month and i get more minutes and unlimited text, all for 22 minutes on the phone. Thanks for this thread.
 
I called a week and a half ago because I didn't know if I could make the bill since I lost my job. The rep offered me the promo and I kept my 15% discount. The contract extension didn't affect me, and if they pull that card, it's fine because I love Verizon.

I can't believe it after being shot down 3 or 4 times this week, called 611 today 1st cutomer rep got error code trying to change but then i was transfered to 2nd rep with added promo and back dated to this month's billing cycle ending tomorrow :) Persistance don't give up!dancedroid
 
I GIVE UP! Called 611 again and was told that the only promotion running is if I added a line with a smartphone or upgrade all the other phones on my account to a smartphone. If anyone else gets the upgrade please give them my email or my number :mad:

I called Verizon to ask about the promo and was told there wasn't such a promo currently. However, the WONDERFUL rep on the phone did tell me that since I purchased 2 X's less than a month ago and they are now on a BOGO I can go to my local store and get the purchase price of one of them returned! She made a note in my account so that when I go to the store tomorrow I shouldn't have any issues. Thank you droidforums! I will be calling again to ask about the promo though..lol dancedroid
 
^^^Sweet! I missed the BOGO by 10 days (we bought our two Xs 40 days prior to the BOGO promo). I was mildly ticked off... but we technically got each phone for $150 instead of $200, so I only actually lost out on $100.

Definitely keep calling. Read the thread here so you know what specifically to ask for and make sure you meet all the qualifications (1400 mins, unl. text, unl. data) and there's no reason they shouldn't be able to do it for you if you are persistent.
 
First time I called, I called the 877 number and was shot down. I was told that this was only for people who received the email. I called back the following day and dialed 611 from my phone. I was put on hold and then the gentleman told me that he was transferring to a different department. I asked what department and he said the loyalty department. The person I spoke with added the promotion to my account with no problem.
