New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

How is 450 minutes a great deal? Please explain this to me please. I am in business and use upwards of 2000 minutes per month. If I am not mistaken, To Remove Duplicates Sprint's plan is unlimited minutes or am I misstating?

I am with VZW because I like their service. Not because they are cost effective because they are not.

Someone please clarify this for me. Thanks.

I think it is a great deal for a personal line. I don't think they trying to hook up the business's, b/c thats where they make their $$$. I signed up for the 1400 share plan and it is more than enough minutes for us to make it through the month. Plus with the 10 friends and family numbers, we ended up using less than 200 of our 1400 b/c most calls were to Verizon numbers or to our friends and family. I think the best thing about this plan is the fact that the data is only $9.99.

I still get my 19% discount on the talk & text part of the plan, but I lost the 19% discount on feature items (data). The $20 discount is more than the 19% anyways, so it is a great deal.

I called *611 and another VZW plan number from their web page. I did not get anywhere. I clicked the link in Hookbills post #19 in this thread which takes you to danDroids post on the offer. I called the 877 number in danDroids post. I have 2 Android phones, 2 multimedia. I had unlimited data only on the Androids, none on the others. Unlimited TXT on one phone and small TXT plans on the others which occasionally went over. I got unlimited data and TXT on all phones and the same 1400 minutes as before and saved $20. When I upgrade the data plans won't increase because they are already there and no worries about overages on TXT

I called the other night and was able to get the Promo, I told rep I either had gotten an email or flyer, couldn't remember, We were at 2100 min family share plan + 2 data plans. Rep did some usage analyzing, reminded me of the 10 friends and family numbers we have available and were not utilizing. She did also offer other minute packages. So we opted for the 1400 min. share plan, unlimited data and texting. We also have a usb modem for our home computer and the rep switched me over to a 4G modem and saved me another ten bucks a month on that, no, 4g is not available yet in my area. So overall saving are 50 bucks a month. I also continued to get my 20% employer discount. I had to extend my contract again, no big deal for me.

I just called and i got the promotion. The customer service rep did not know what i was talking about at first but when she double checked she offered it to me and transferred me to another dept.

There is a catch... You have to extend your contract for an additional year and the data plan has to activated on all the lines.

I have 4 lines 2 of them have the data plan, i was paying a total of $80.
Now i have data plan on all lines (even on the phones that aren't smart phones) and my total is now $40.

She said when the other phones are eligible for upgrade they can get a smart phone and the data plan will be there.

The additional year contract does not effect upgrades.

She also said that they are not offering this to everyone, only customers that have been with them for a long time or if you are upgrading or if you multiple lines with smart phones.

good. you got the details at least. mine was easy cuz i met all of the above a long time ago. but you were able to change yours and still save money. now go to best buy and get a free smartphone

the additional year didnt affect me at all cuz i just upgraded all 4 lines this past summer

I called and got my discount last night. I live in SC I added another Droid X last night also. I have 4 lines two with Droid X's and two with LG phones (one Touch and one Envy3). That being said you may have to be persistant. I called in on the *611 and hit 0 right away I asked for billing and told the person who answered why I was calling. She transferred me to a different department and they took care of the discount and my new phone purchase. I meet the above requirements too so that may have something to do with it. I told a co-worker about the promotion and he couldnt get anywhere with them.

Just got off the phone with 2 wonderful Verizon Reps. First was through the 800 number listed earlier and she wasn't familiar with the promotion, however, she did check quite a few promotions without coming up with the $20/plan savings on the data package.

While on the phone I came back to this thread and went to the above post #19 in the original thread and mentioned the promotion and the phone number to their customer loyalty department 877-873-3278. She made the call, waited until there was a person to speak to and explained the situation. The new rep had it taken care of in a couple of minutes, giving a $40 savings with my second line having it's year extended by a couple of months. dancedroid

just called in to VZW about this. Turns out the promotion is $20 off the Nationwide Unlimited Talk & Text Plan, which means it really only saves you money if you're already on unlimited minutes. In my case, I am not:

Maybe this is why I got it. I had 89.99 unlimited talk and 29.99 unlimited data plan. He gave me the $20 dollars off and now I pay 9.99 for unlimited data.

I'm in Atlanta, GA. I just called Verizon and the first rep who answered gave me the discount.

That will save me 240.00 a year.

He also said I could have a early upgrade but think I'll wait to see what new phones are coming out. I currently have a Droid 2.

this technically isnt a promo, as they are pretty much only changing your plan to this one:

he wouldnt add it for me because i am the only one on my family plan that has data plan, then he told me that pretty much what he would be doing would be changing the family plan to a "talk and text plus data promo"

which in my case, would make my plan $40 more a month because of the 5 lines, 4 of them are basic phones

She said Verizon is now offering a $10 credit for a secondary line added to your account for up to a 24 mo period. So basically your second line would be free exluding the add ons such as text, data, etc. Not to bad of a deal IMO. If you do add a secondary line smartphone to your account instead of paying the $39.99 price for unlimited data and the line, you'd pay just $29.99 for the unlimited data package and line.dancedroid

Can you or anyone confirm if it ended? I am going to try again for sure. I was just adding what I was told the first time. Saving any amount of money is worth it IMO.
