Ordered by phone, but... (There's a story to this all...)

Back in July, ordered DX online. $99 plus tax. Played with it for a few days, had earpiece vibration buzzing, and returned it to a VZW company store (per the instruction of the C.S. guy on the phone). At the store, they credited my account, with the caveat that if I ordered another DX, to do it BY PHONE, and not online, because the online system would not be able to read my account notes that detailed my credit reimbursement, etc.
Ambivalent about getting another DX, I reactivated my Blackberry 8330, which I felt more comfortable using, especially in a car, or when I need to do some quick messaging. It was more of a safety and convenience issue than anything else.
About two weeks later, I decided that the future of the Blackberry product line was bleak, having seen the BB Torch, etc. (I've been using BBs since 1999, before they were called Blackberries!)
So on August 5th, I ordered a new DX BY PHONE. It took two separate calls to get the credit reimbursement that the store manager gave me, but nevertheless, they promised a shipment date of August 23rd.
I phoned C.S. several times to inquire if the shipments might come early, as it has for other folks, but they were adamant about 8/23.
And then today (8/16), the FedEx guy shows up with the new DX. Go figure.
