New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

If the Fedex tracking # is not working, does that mean the order will not actually ship until Monday or is it already shipped out?

It means that you don't know it may have shipped out but there's no info to tell you that it has. For example I just ordered something from Amazon and didn't actually get the tracking info email until later in the day after my item arrived.

I checked my tracking # this morning and it shipped out of West Chester PA at 6 am this morning with a delivery date of the 24th. I ordered on the 15th online. Can't wait to get my first smart phone !

Weird. For those that ordered accessories, 2 lbs should provide comfort, that it's the actual phone, and not the accessory.

For example. I ordered 2 phones and a car charger. The package says 3 lbs. So.. I'm putting my bets on the fact that it's the 2 phones and probably also the charger..... ... Rather than a car charger and a rock for example.

On another note. If I was doing it again, I'd probably get the stupid 2$ retractable car charger from Amazon, instead of the 22$ charger from VZW (22$ after 25% discount)...

Finally...a light at the end of the tunnel!! called customer service this morning and was givin my tracking number. No email from VZW yet, and I dont think I'll get one!! Shipping from Memphis with delivery date of 25th before 7pm. Exactly the date verizon said it would ship is the date I'll get it. Thanks for all the info from everyone, and I hope you guys get your X's soon also!! Great forum!!

Mine has shown "departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN" at 3:27pm on Saturday. Huntsville, AL is only a four-hour drive, so hopefully that means that it's sitting at the FedEx center here in Huntsville as I type this. However, it still shows an estimated delivery of Aug. 24. I may run by there during lunch and see if they have it.

In regards to the weight, my phone was delivered last week with accessories, I had the Droid X, car charger, phone glove, and phone protector sheets, weighed 2.0 lbs and there was plenty of room in the box when I opened it, could of doubled what I had in there if they wanted to.

I ordered mine in store on August 10. They told me the phone would not ship until 8/25 but I got an email last night that said it has been shipped. It looks like I will be getting it on 8/25.

I don't understand why some people on this forum are getting pissed off that the customer service people can't help them. When you order the phone and they tell you it won't ship until a certain date, then you should leave them alone and not worry about the phone not shipping until after that date has passed.

I generally agree with you here, I think some people are just anxious and they see some people receiving theirs earlier without rhyme or reason. I ordered mine on the 9th and received it on the 17th via online ordering. I would of received it on the 16th but I was at work so they couldn't drop it off.

I think it's more frustration that VZW is taking their money then not delivering the product in what they consider a timely fashion. They are taking the money at point of sale without delivery and that makes these people frustrated.

I ordered 5 of these phones on the 10th and still have ZERO confirmation. I am tracking it on this forum so people can see when I get it but in the interim I am WELL HAPPY with my HTC Topaz. It's an older phone but it is still a great little monster.

The only thing I was frustrated about was people who ordered a week after me, got their phone before me. I think if you order a day earlier than another person, you should get your item before that person.

Awesome, just got my tracking number email (Ordered on the 17th in-store) FedEx says it will arrive on the 25th from West Chester, PA (I'm just north of Philly, PA).
