New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

dont worry bgillyjcu I understand your frustration. I also ordered on the 10th and have not heard a word yet. I ordered over the phone and live near chicago. Storys of orders placed later than ours that are being delivered sooner are whats so aggravating. Im sick of watching my inbox saying "0 unread" messages!!!

I'm just outside Chicago as well in Munster and also ordered on the 10th. No confirmation as yet.

Wow, I'm from Indianapolis and I ordered on the 11th and have not heard a word. It seems like the Midwest is getting screwed especially when people in the northeast ordered the 13th and are already getting their phones

My thoughts have shifted from "I hope I get it early" to "I hope it doesn't go past the 25th"!!!

Ordered on Aug 12th, have not received any information. Was told by a Verizon employee (in-store, and he is my friend) that the phone would be here by today. NOPE

Furthermore, I was told my upgrade date was in January so I had to pay $20 extra plus not I couldn't use my NE2 discount. However, my actual upgrade date is Sept 7 of this year. Had I known this, I would have waited/dealt with the order differently.

Long story short, I have sent a nice email to Verizon about those two issues. Mainly, I'd like to get some help with the upgrade prices due to the misinformation on their part.

UPDATE:
Called Verizon, got a sincere apology from them for the misinformation. Got my NE2 credit added to next months bill plus the early upgrade fee they charged. Then, to add to it, the manager threw in an extended battery and is giving a $50 NE2 credit to another line on my account that is upgrading soon.


DO NOT ALTER YOUR ORDER. It will shift the phone to the back of the line. (which means, do not let them add something free to your order or change the order pricing, instead have them make it a separate transaction/credit)

Just got my shipping confirmation and FedEx tracking info from Tiger. Ordered phone 8/16 night. Phone will be here 8/24 by 10:30am.dancedroid

I hope everyone's phone is coming soon. I'll let everyone know if I get the wrong thing in the box as some have suspected.


BTW - I'm in the mid-west, but maybe it's just the Verizon stores in the mid-west that are getting screwed.

Got mine this morning around 10am.

FedEx shows they picked it up this morning at 8:30am from Memphis. It shows overnight delivery with a delivery date of Tuesday, 24th. I am near Pittsburgh, PA. Wouldn't tomorrow be overnight?

I ordered online August 9th, with NE2 discount, plus used a promo coupon for another 10% off. Website at the time showed delivery by August 25th.

I ordered on 8/14 and I live in northern California, my original ship by date was the 30th or 31st. (It said 8/30 on the graphic next to the phone and 8/31 under it)

Ok this is my first post and I have been watching boards for 2 weeks. I ordered on 8/8 and I am still waiting with no tracking #. But orders placed on the 16th have tracking? Heck there are people who orderd on the 6th who are still waiting.

I understand and agreed to wait until the 25th which is fine but when we wait 15-17 days and others only have to wait 7 or 8 plus ordered a week after me, that is a problem.

No offense to you, its all directed at VZW, BTW PM me your phone # so I can call verizon and tell them the story. Then when they get all cocky and say "There is no way that is possible, can you provide us a phone # and we can see why orders placed 8 days after you have been shipped?" I can say "Oh I sure can." and watch them go silent.

For me, the order status site shows:

"Here is the status of your order.
Due to overwhelming inventory demands, your DROID X by Motorola order will ship on 08/25/2010."


However, I received the shipping email today, 8/22, and the FedEx site confirms it has been shipped.

I GOT NOTHING from FedEx or VZW yet....so I checked my order status. New screen, same info...My phone will ship on the 25th according to the site.
