I ordered mine in store on August 10. They told me the phone would not ship until 8/25 but I got an email last night that said it has been shipped. It looks like I will be getting it on 8/25.
I don't understand why some people on this forum are getting pissed off that the customer service people can't help them. When you order the phone and they tell you it won't ship until a certain date, then you should leave them alone and not worry about the phone not shipping until after that date has passed.
I think it's more frustration that VZW is taking their money then not delivering the product in what they consider a timely fashion. They are taking the money at point of sale without delivery and that makes these people frustrated.
I ordered 5 of these phones on the 10th and still have ZERO confirmation. I am tracking it on this forum so people can see when I get it but in the interim I am WELL HAPPY with my HTC Topaz. It's an older phone but it is still a great little monster.
I don't see how you can be upset that they are "taking" your money and not giving you the phone on the spot. They tell you upfront that they don't have any in stock, they tell you that it won't be shipped until the 25th (or other date if ordered later), you then have the option of canceling the order if you think that is too long, but you can't get mad at them for a supply issue they can't control and are upfront about.
Now I am not saying people who have been told a date and still haven't gotten it by that date shouldn't be upset. Those people have every right. To the others, be patient your phone will come soon.
