New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

Wow, I feel very lucky. I had the Droid one since release. I looked a couple places near where I lived (DC Metro area) with no luck. I didn't want to settle for the Droid 2, but was willing to. I was adding my wife to my plan and needed a phone. I was giving her my Droid 1.

I was having a hard time finding the Droid 2. I ended up finding some at Best Buy in Arundel Mills Mall. When I got there I decided to ask about the Droid X even though I knew they would not have any. They had one! I could not believe it. So here I am with my X. Found it 4 days ago. I did call that store and was told there were no X's.

I woke up this morning and checked my email and had my shipment notification waiting in my inbox :icon_ lala:

It's shipping from TN which is just a few states away from me in SC. Pumped, estimated to get it on 9/1/10. Not to get off topic but anyone here got the Amzer Luxe argyle case for their DX? I bought the smoke colored one a week or so ago based off of a couple reviews I read, supposed to be a good fitting case and not too bulky. If you have one can you give me your opinion on it?

Yup, to be exact it shipped out the 29th at 743pm eastern time nd I ordered over the phone I was orginally told the 24th it would ship when I ordered nd then told the 6th.

Same here. Ordered on the 22nd and got my email yesterday that it will be delivered tomorrow. Was told that ship date was the 6th ifs September.

Have seen reports of people that ordered on 17th, and even the 18th have received shipping notices......

Anyone that ordered before then not received notices? 13th or before?
