Yep, that what mine was as well - ordered at the store on Saturday, notified of shipment the following Friday (a week ago.....but overnight Friday night til Tuesday evening)

Ok here is a loaded question. I got a droid 2 this week after screaming about a 3 bad droid 1s. They handed me the d2 and then I found out they did it as an early upgrade without giving me any options. I called customer support and they say I can walk into any store with it, pay 35 bucks restock fee and get another phone. I don't really mind the d2, but is the X a better phone?

^I opted for the X cause I like the size of the screen and how slim it is. I think they're both supposed to be pretty identical when it came to hardware except the fact that the X came with HD video recording and no slide out keyboard.

I know theres more to it but the X won me over fast.

how terrible is the battery life. I use it for a work phone, lots of data and emails and calls. Not much surfing or music stuff.

Sorry if this is not the forum for these questions, please point me in the right direction if I need to ask them someplace else

We apologize for the delay." no, its not a type error, "estimated" was really spelled "extimated" in the text from verizon. either way, i hope mine ships sooner like many of yours have!

I also turned my D2 in for an X so very happy I did was well worth the wait. As for the restocking fee they got me with that also, but I called CS as soon as I got home and complained about having to pay the restock fee and wait 2 weeks for the X to ship so they credited my account.

I just ordered my Droid X yesterday at the local VZW store and got a September 21, 2010 ship date. It will be 2 months now without a phone
All because my storm died and i had to wait for my upgrade.

I ordered mine on 9/3/10, said it would take 2 weeks. I got it in 5 working days. I think they are creating an artificial demand for the DX. Anywho, moved from a BB S2 and I'm very glad I did. The X is fast fast fast!

My son was looking at mine last night -- he has the original google phone (nexus 1 ?) and was saying it seemed faster.
