Exactly. I'm looking out the window at 30+ inches of snow and this keeps me distracted enough that I don't go off and book a trip to Florida.

It is still only 6:30 am in California. I am sure Verizon will want it's Verizon Wireless and support people in place before sending out the update. Also, if they do it like last time only 10,000 people will get it the first day so it could be that no one on here gets it even if they do release it today. I am not great at statistics so I don't know the odds. lol

I'm with you guys. I'm staying rooted. I'll wait until Dave or the Sholes team gives us a 2.1 rom. I've already got almost everything 2.1 offers, and I've got my own theming, overclocking, and total freedom to boot. I'm not sure what I would gain by updating to 2.1, but I would lose a lot.

I 100% agree...how could anyone give up overclocking,tethering,Themes,taking screen shots anywhere on your phone,And my Fav.the old school lock screen ..there are so many great options to have when the phone is rooted!!! Ill get my new update from the sholes team when there ready!!! f... verzion

I think I'm really gonna miss the themes....I don't ever need to even use tethering...have not taken one screenshot....and the overclocking is nice but its not like its a snail at stock.....however I'm gonna be so angry if I don't have 5 screens haha

You can turn off auto rotate in settings.

i like being able to tether why exactly would that change after the update is it gonna be blocked or something

If they do it in the same order as last time I would have been one of the lucky ones. I was one of the first people to get 2.0.1 and was surprised because I got it well before the date it was announced it was coming.

However I am running Bugless Beast now, so the update would be blocked. After much thought I had decided to pass on the update and install it later when they add back in the features I would be losing.

Unless someone gave me a good reason to unroot to get the update. If I got the update early how would I be able to share it with everyone?
