"Your point is still hilariously void; though, just because they are bringing some enhancements doesn't mean it's acceptable. Telling us to stop complaining and accept it or to mod our phones is pretty ridiculous."

Don't mod your phone if you don't want to, I could care less. I am sitting here laughing at some of you people that are getting your blood pressure boiling over a phone update.... lol

What I am saying is that ranting on a message board isn't going to change anything. If you want to voice an opinion to Motorola do just that. Also if I was so unhappy with a phone I owned I would get rid of it and buy something that made me happy. If you are all so unhappy with your Droid's buy a Nexus One or an Iphone.

It's a phone people... No reason to be so unhappy. If these boards didn't exist you wouldn't know the difference and would be happy.

Go ahead and get all wound up and pull your hair out....lol.... ME I'm sitting here laughing at you :icon_ banana:

For a long time everyone was dreaming of the update and now all you beotches are whining like a bunch of little brats.

You've completely missed the point. People wanted the 2.1 update after they saw the many features included with the Nexus One. Now we find that the 2.1 for the Motorola Droid isn't going to come with some of the most exciting features that everyone was expecting. So sure, people are upset.

The nexus one is googles pride and joy, made by htc. Google released the OS that the nexus is running it has nothing to do with google. They gave moto all the tools to make the droid just as visually stunning as the n1. The droid is not old news it is still verizon and motorola's flagship phone. Verizon wants to sell phones everyday why would they not want to give the droid a boost in sales by giving it what the n1 has. Instead verizon would wait two or three months and lose that sales boost. I think all these rumors about not getting all the goodies is somewhat untrue and we will just have to wait till the update is actually pushed. Who knows when thats going to be now.

Maybe the devour is gonna be the new star for verizon...

I doubt it, as it is running Android 1.6 and Motoblur and is lower (spec-wise) than the Droid. Verizon is running with the Android phones because it is their latest and greatest, and they have some unique ones.

But that is neither here nor there in regards to 2.1.

I think the look of the update looks great. I am really liking the fact that there is a battery improvment fix! If that works then the update is worth it right there. I personally like that the live wallpaper are not being included, for battery drainage issues. The only thing I am dissapointed with is the not getting the 5 home screens. If this update fixes some bugs, improves battery life and prepares the phone for flash I am one happy droider!

but devour is silver(which looks a bit cooler), and isn't motoblur a +?
Also the devour got meghan fox... so yeeaaah... we got a billboard or 2

So back to the 2.1 update. Maybe (seriously wishful thinking here) the notifications were removed because the were inaccurate as they left out the mention of the 5 screens and new app drawer?

Come on people its possible, right? :icon_eek:

I agree. The reason I am not rooted is for the small unknowns like the battery fix.

If it doesn't come with 5 screens there are SO many options to get 5 it's not even an issue.

At this point the only reason i could see for pulling the info is that there is actually less stuff than that post suggested, because they could always add on to it...And it didn't promise a release date or anything soo.... yeah
