OFFICIAL Droid X Issues/Problem Thread

I'm having problems with the accessing files on my Droid X from my Win 7 x64 laptop. The DroidX is connected and the drivers are installed OK, when I plug into USB it finds the DX and I can access the 'removable storage'. But I can only see a couple of files although I have 350MBytes of stuff on the SD card?

I access the phone from my work system, Server 2003 x32 and I could access the SD card files normally.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm taking a stab in the dark, but it sounds like an MTP / MSC problem.

There's something wrong with my battery indicator. It drained to 30 percent and showed the yellow battery. I turned my phone off to reboot since I installed a couple of new apps. Now it's at 70 percent again?

Is this a known bug?

This can be a problem with anything with a battery, my iPod touch would do this, along with my laptop. It has to do with how many volts the battery is emitting. The more applications you run the lower it'll say your battery life is, not time wise because running more will result in lower battery life.

It depends what kind of stuff, if the files are hidden then they cannot be accessed without special software such as 7-zip, my personal preference. To make sure use that to see if there are hidden files, if not the memory usage indicator is messed up.

droid x keyboard went south, i lost 2keys constant and 3 sometimes verizon says wait 2 weeks for replacement, now thats customer service.

wish i would have read this forum before i orded my droid x today

What issues are worrying you the most? Basically every problem has a workaround, and the update(s) should fix most everything when they arrive in the next few weeks.
bad cell service, noise in the background while u talk,my wife and daughter went with droid 2s

OK, well, I haven't experienced those problems on my droid x, but...

Dialing *228 will update PRLs and improve cell service. The Droid X is supposed to have very good reception (probably because it is so huge and can have a big antenna).

As far as noise in the background, I don't know but maybe the case is interfering with the noise cancellation mics. And this isn't a joke: try holding it differently.

Like I said, I haven't seen these problems on my X, but even so, a software update could improve these things.

Droid / Droid X 3-way calling issue?

Read through this entire thread but didn't see it mentioned...
3-way calling does not work on either of our company's DXs. After 3 levels of VZW support and another 2 levels at Moto, all they suggested was doing a factory reset (which didn't work).
Tried *228 on my own and still no joy. In reading posts on other sites, it appears this issue may be geo-centric (i.e. users in Denver can't use it unless they try it while in another geographic market).
Thoughts? Thanks
