So now I have to go around asking friends if I can borrow an old VZW phone that they're not using. Am I the only one who finds this disturbing? I had the DroidX for a total of 3 days and it died on me. I am a new customer who switched over from AT&T and this is how they treat me? I saw the worse customer support and concern tonight. Sadly, I am stuck with VZW for two more years.
You're not stuck with anything. If you're that dissatisfied with VZW, why not just get out of your contract and go back to AT&T? You are still within your 30 day return window. And if the phone was defective, chances are you won't even have to pay a restocking fee.
I swear, it seems as if some people stay in bad situations just so they can complain about it.
Why shucks, thanks for being an a-hole!
More info to fill your sarcastic behind on:
When I left AT&T, I paid a cancellation fee that I will not get back. I also paid an activation fee to join VZW and they told me they would not refund this fee to me. If I went back to AT&T, I would have to pay ANOTHER activation fee to get BACK onto their service.
So I pretty much would be out of $175. Why should I be out of $175 because VZW shipped me a faulty phone? I'm the consumer here, and I have a right to be upset about a faulty product they provided me with.
You think VZW would be going out of their way to get people to switch from AT&T and then do whatever it takes to keep them happy.
