Battery Life with 2.2 OTA

I thought my battery life was bad before the update to 2.2, but now it is terrible. I updated the phone this am while it was plugged into the charger. I unplugged the phone and went to work with 100% battery. In 2 hours and 15 minutes the battery is down to 40%. I have been using the phone the same as I always do and normally am at 70% or more right now. Anyone else notice worse battery life?

Mine has seemingly gone up. Got the OTA at 11:30ish PM EST last night. Allowed the full update to happen on a full charge. Connected USB to root the phone..took maybe 10 minutes. Been disconnected since then... ~6hours. Did a bunch of installations from the market, watched a few Youtube videos AND streamed Pandora for over an hour and I'm still holding a full charge...

As of right now it says time since unplugged, 2 hrs 26 min and battery is at 30%. :(

Wow! that is REALLY horrible.
But ya can't really jump to any conclusions just yet. I mean the OTA has only been out for a few hours.
Run it for a day or two and charge like normal and use like normal. Also wait to see if there is more widespred issue with other users regarding this. If a lot more people show problems, then it could be your specific phone or maybe the update has some issues.
Only time can truly tell with this one.

try pulling the battery and putting it back in... see if that gives you better numbers. I had read that it works for new phones, perhaps its that same strangeness happening on yours?

How is your service with 2.2?

I feel like my service is a little worse with 2.2 it seems I have less bars where ever I go.

That is horrible. It sounds like you have a problem. But a few things to think about... do you have ATK? If so remove it. Also do you live/work in an area with poor reception? This could be draining your battery trying to get a signal. If not then your phone or battery sounds like it has issues. I would contact Vz tech support.

I just downloaded the new 2.2 version this morning and haven't really been using my phone any more than normal and my battery by now normally is at 90% but right now it is at 70% and I am running it on maximum battery mode which does not seem to be helping to save battery.

i unplugged mines last night at 11:00 pm, battery was at 100%. i woke up, still at 100%, downloaded the update, still at 100%. traveled to work, watched about 15 minutes of Mad Men, then listened to music for the next 45 minutes. i also checked out the new features. downloaded some app updates, visited some forums on tapatalk, checked that flash was working properly and battery is now at 80%. Im using the extended batter.

I unplugged mine at midnight, battery was at 100%. Did the update using battery, left it unplugged til now (6.5 hours), I'm at 90%.

Droid X seems laggy after OTA 2.2

Anyone else getting this? On 2.1, when moving from one homescreen to the other, it would snap instantly, now I can clearly see one screen sliding while the other appears. Much slower. I checked "running services" and have:

Other: 110MB in 10 | Avail: 81MB + 127MB in 36

Before the 2.2 upgrade I'm pretty sure I had much more memory available. I re-rooted just after upgrading to 2.2 and that's when it slowed down. Any thoughts?
