I don't think that is what the poster meant. He was referring to the exchange issue, not the screen lock options or lack there of. But there is hope that thread will lead to an official report to Moto about this issue.

My google talk is xtremely slow and becomes unresponsive at times. The interface looks different than it did, not sure if that is from the 2.2 update or if updating the gmail app changed that??

Hmm, I can't imagine a software change would cause that...mine seems about the same.

Not sure if it's been posted in this long thread, but the Market is Missing Slingbox, ESPN Radio and other apps that have security protection enabled. Any idea how long before they will appear or any idea how to get those apps back?

Hmm, I can't imagine a software change would cause that...mine seems about the same.

was the baseband or anything changed in the update? Maybe how it displays signal was changed...idk but I have noticeably worse

after installing the update, i watched a video using rockplayer, it seems as though the backlight or video goes dim after watching about 5 minutes. this never happened before. the screen doesnt go blank, it just gets dimmer, as if its on some sort of brightness timer or something.

after installing the update, i watched a video using rockplayer, it seems as though the backlight or video goes dim after watching about 5 minutes. this never happened before. the screen doesnt go blank, it just gets dimmer, as if its on some sort of brightness timer or something.

I just saw that rockplayer has an update in the market for the dim problem.

I just saw that rockplayer has an update in the market for the dim problem.

Seems like with the new 2.2 OTA, the phone forgets if you select a specific group to show in contacts. So, for example, on the home screen, at the bottom, you select the "person icon" (the 3rd icon on the right on the bottom), you select "Display group" and select only one gmail account for example. But after a while, or after a reboot, when you go back it shows "all groups". 2.1 used to remember your selection

Is there a way to make notifications be silent but the ringer for calls still works? I would like to be able to sleep but have my wife (who works out of town a lot) to call me in an emergency? I have found that tasker will do this, but I dont want to pay for tasker as its many other great features don't work for me (I live too close to my job). I will pay for it if that is the only way though.

ETA: This is probably in the wrong thread. I'll move it, give me a minute to figure that out.

So I got my new DX shipped to my house yesterday, and so far so good. I like the phone a lot (although I liked my original Droid as well). Anyway, I thought the DX came with Swype? If it has it, I can't find it. Does anyone know if they did away with this as a native program on the current phones?
