why does my brand new phone keep rebooting itself
^btw that was all in caps bcuz i wanted to portray the urgency, but droidforums edited it out, FYI i'm still going crazy over here inside.
The more info you can provide, the better:
--What changes have been made to the phone since you got it?
--List of apps/mods/etc. ? (Example: Lookout, weatherbug, task killers.. all bad! Get rid of them NOW).
--Does the phone get EXTREMELY hot? (in a very airtight case, or anything weird?)
--Tried cleaning the contacts on the battery?
--When does it most often reboot? when unlocking? When listening to music, downloading your favorite anime, and texting in traffic? ??
The more info you can provide, the easier it would be for someone to help!
Nope, stopping the weather app from running did not fix the problem.
EDIT: Taking the phone to a verizon store mañana.

Ya.. if it did it before making any changes to the phone, it's likely that you got a dud. It's NOT unusual for some CPU's to just not be as stable as others (thus some people that can overclock their phones to 1.45, and others that can't break 1.1 without becoming unstable...
It's very likely that it's just a bad phone.
My best suggestion to you... is to fight the rep for a BRAND NEW phone, You'd much rather get another new one, than a "certified like new" or whatever...
Remember that if you're within your first 30 days... you have the right to return the phone outright... (a little leverage to help)...
GL!

MY PHONE HAS REBOOTED FIVE TIMES WITHIN THE PAST HOUR!!!![]()
Once when I was talking to someone on the phone!
And Ohh, you bet I will fight to the death for a brand new phone.. THAT WORKS!! People, I just opened this phone fresh out the box not even four hours ago~ sigh.
Thank you for the luck will update you tomorrow.
OH THE AGONY
edit: it decided to crash last night.
The gallery closes every time I try to open it. Is there a fix?
Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App
My Kindle app has quit syncing - none of the books I send are appearing although Amazon says they were sent. All software up to date and no error codes appear. What's with this?
I have zero reception on this joke of a phone. I can't believe I'm saying I want my Storm 1 back. My house has bad reception to begin with (I live 15 miles out of NYC go figure), but my storm 1 and even my fathers 5+ year old razor work like a charm compared to this overpriced brick. What gives?
I called Verizon they tried every work around they could think of, and nothing. I had to drive 5 miles away just to get any reception whatsoever. Do I escalate it now to the point to ask them to check the antennas in the area?

Do you live in the BUFU?
