****Official FroYo Rollout Thread-Version2!****

Since you opened the door, what benefit is moving apps to the SD card? Does it matter which ones are moved?
thanks

To move some apps to the SD card all you have to do is go to settings>applications>manage applications and then see which apps allow moving to the SD card. To move ALL your apps to the SD card you either need an app that may or may not be compatable with each app, or a ROM that allows force-installing to the SD card.

Apps2SD is native in Froyo, and the Android 2.2 SDK (software development kit) has been available to devs for a lot longer than even the rooters had access to leaked builds -- let alone source code -- but some devs haven't bothered to enable it (or have had trouble enabling it) for their programs. Of course, some apps in the market haven't been updated since Cupcake or Donut (Can't Google spell? :) It's Doughnut!), let alone Eclair, so YMMV with an app from the market.

I'm in South Carollina, about 15 miles north of Greenville. My phone invited me to upgrade to 2.2 yesterday morning, whereupon it became bricked. My new phone should arrive today.

My wife upgraded 30 minutes later and her's is fine. The kicker is that her phone has more apps on it than mine did.

sorry if I'm behind on this thread, but is the original (45mb) OTA file still available to download manually, or is it now "obsolete"?

Still havent got mine either. But if the frigging thing bricks mine. I'm going to the verizon and gonna cry about them killing my baby. Then I'm gonna demand a 2 or an X !

BTW: I think the updates are going to take longer than until tomorrow as announced
Just sayin'. These never go as planned

I just got the update right before I opened this thread. Don't think I'm going to do it though because I don't want to lose root access.
