Reset the router & rebuild the home network from scratch?

That's pretty much what I did. Now I'm running a more secure protocol and my phone can connect. I just didn't really want to have to reconfigure all the networked stuff in the house.

Oh well, whatever, it works.

Since getting the update my droid will not connect to my wireless AP in my house. I have not tried it anywhere else yet. Was working fine before the update. If I go into wifi settings and click on my network name and then click on connect, the Wi-Fi line at the top of that page flashes scanning then authenicating and then disconnected and the text under my network name goes from "Remembered, secured ...." to "Disabled, secured..."
Hey newfi I had the same issue and it was really frustrating me, especially knowing that nothing in my network had changed. But, I did find finally figure out how to connect my droid to my network once again. Just enter key one instead of your passphrase for the password to get onto your network. Not sure why it wanted that for the pass with the 2.2 update...since my wife's (identical) phone was happy with passphrase...but I will take it!

If anyone else has any advise on this please let me know. My home router is on WEP (I know, boo-hiss).

I'm unable to connect, not sure why. But I was able to connect to a different WEP enabled router.

I tried a power reset of the router, no help. I've killed and remade the connection on the phone a bunch of times using the passphrase as well as the generated keys.

No idea what to try next.

I am using a LinkSys Router with WEP/128 bit encryption and have not had any problem (thank goodness because my 3G is a bit marginal where I live!). I manually installed the initial release of 2.2 then got the OTA for FRD22 and did not have a problem with either of them. I also use it on a secure work network (WPA) and a number of unsecure public networks without problems. Hope you were able to get it resolved. As I mentioned in a previous post, I have not had any really negative experiences since the updates, if anything, a slight increase in performance.

I just got an email from Verizon stating that my update had been sent to my phone yet when I go into the section to update it it says Check for update was not available at this time please try again later. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions on what I should do? It has been like this all day...I am starting to get mad I want my new version bad.

Verizon stated that one of the features of v2.2 is it's ability to allow an app to be installed on the sd card. I can find no instruction that tells how to do this. Help anyone?

I also got this email, but I force updated to Android 2.2 FRG01B and to FRG22D when each became available to download officially from Google.

What does your phone show for Android Version and build number?

Settings> Applications> Manage Applications> All> Check each app individually to see what can be moved and what can't.

I just got a text fro Verizon that an update has been sent to my phone (I've been running FRG22D stock for weeks now but I did the manual install).
Is that the same as the email mentioned above?
Why would I get that if I'm up to date??
