Please let us know if you did forever root, and when the update was installed did you still have root.

I did not do forever root (at least not that I know of, although I was rooted). it does appear that I'm still rooted, however. SU app opens.

How would I capture the update before installing it? Once I get the notice that the update is available, what do I do to capture the file first?

Installed no problem. Noticeable improvements:

• Snappier moving in and out of apps
• No hiss with headphones (tested using Shure E4 IEMs...very sensitive monitors)
• Stock camera much faster

Should be in the /cache folder, labeled something like "5.5.886.xxxxxxx"

I just got the update. I was rooted and installed it. It completed successfully. Tried titanium BU and a " you do not have rooted priviladge " popped up..... or something close...

Anyway the update completed.

Oh yeah mine just downloaded on its own. I am at the gym and it came in. It did give me the option to install in an hour...

My son just got the update, but I didn't. The update failed to install, and he is fully stock w/ root. What's up with that??

I was able to update my son's phone by going through Stock Recovery. He had the forever root, and was able to maintain his root!
I was also able to grab the file before I updated his phone. You can grab the OTA update here:

Same here. Can't use rooted apps yet. Just took and installed 5.5.893 (I had 5.5.886). So I guess now I simply root again?
