Post Your Weather Pictures

Hey there princess. Hope its all good out on the islands! Also its been a good while since I have seen a water spout. They usually happen down at our beach place when storms pass over the ocean. I really didn't know the atmosphere could support tornadoes where you are though. Kinda surprised me haha. Hope no one got hurt or had any major damage tho. Also take care yourself with all the weather out there

Does anyone know of a very detailed radar and satelite app? I am running weatherbug elite right now and was wondering if there was anything more deatiled. Also need an app with a setting to see wind speeds and directions in storms. Any advice or help is really appreciated

Hi chevy, I use WRCB radar weather app. Its free on the android market. It has directional wind and speeds and the markings are color coded for the type of wind. It even has a marking for tornadic wind flow ( though I didn't look at it when all that was going on in Tuscaloosa.) It comes out of a radio or tv station in chattanooga tennessee, but you can make the home page open up on whatever city you want it to. It was great this winter up here with the frequent snowstorms and it even shows seismic events like tremors and earthquakes. If you can't find it just pm me and I'll see if can narrow it down for you..hope you are doing well. Take care!

@red: Seems like a good app. Only thing is they got a log of ads. I do like the radar tho. My bad about the slow response. The storms near Kentucky are pretty well outlined

Glad you like it. Looks like they might be having tornadic winds approaching Tuscaloosa area currently. Sad about what is going to happen to the cajun area in Louisiana now that they have opened the floodgates on the Mississippi river to save the levees south toward New Orleans. Always wanted to visit there. Love the food! We' re going to have 9 days where it rains part of the day starting yesterday and going thru next Sunday here in Connecticut. Better than tornadoes...that would freak me out :-( Hope your weather is better where you are!

My thoughts and prayers for those folks in Joplin Mo, who are struggling thru the aftermath of that disastrous tornado. @Chevy..thanks for letting me know..been out of touch for awhile. Away for weekend and didn't have service except intermittently in Pennsylvania. How you and family are well.

Family and I are good. We finally had a early mornin storm come through here about 730 and brought some needed rain. The mid-west really is gettin hammered this year with storms.

:icon_ banana::icon_ banana: We' ve had between 3.5 and 5.5 inches of rain this month with more expected in the next 10 days depending on exactly where in Connecticut. Most of that rain was in the last week and a half. I have so many mushrooms in the back yard and the north side of the property, I feel like opening a vegetable stand (lol), but I feel blessed compared to the people in the midwest. They said there were 68 tornadoes in the storm system that spawned the one in Joplin. There was a Dad here locally who prayed all night by his phone for his daughter and grandson who lived in Joplin and though their house is gone, they survived by crouching in the bathtub. Miracles do happen! Pray for them. Linda
