1.7 quick office ????

Can quick office be put back into this rom ? Ive tried to do a back up with titanium back up pro but it wont let me restore the app ?? Any help ?

In the update and the release of [D3]BLURR3D... The wiping issue people are having WILL be resolved.

The updater-script will wipe the piss out if everything. Problem Solved. :)

Factory Reset doesn't touch the /system, that is why you need to wipe it.

yeah having the same battery drain issues. Sitting on 3 hrs off charger and down to 45%. and i've barely used it.

I have the same issue... I bought an Extended battery, hoping that the battery life would be accepteble. Unfortunately, I only got about 6 hours of stand-by time (I might have made 2 quick phone calls). Verizon is sending my another Extended battery, because my first one was getting very hot. Hopefully this will increase my battery so that I can get through my work day.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to improve the battery, without taking away all of the "bells and whistles" on the phone??

With humility, may I say, DT And DH.... You've done a hell of a job!
Syntax aside.... How it's worded and how it's interpreted is subjective.
Bottom line is this, if you don't understand how it works, what it does and or why, then IMHO... DON'T DO IT!
If, like myself, you are a visual person, check out the YouTube walk thru's by "tweekmydevice and/or modd3rx" to put a face on the beast.
If you have questions about powerboost back up a doz pages and read more closely, or go to root wiki and check out the makers page, and while there, check out the awesome beginners guide with full explinations....

The adage," measure thrice, cut once" seems appropriate here.

If I may offer,

Powerboost... after a fresh flash and reboot, with root explorer, copy the file to the root of the SD card and then follow the commands as described in the op... Su (enter) bionic.sh (enter)
Then follow prompts... For unthrottled...
Exit with reboot.

Battery issues... Once all is stable, plugged in to power and at 100% (I like to backup my visual of a full charge with circle battery widget) , I use and recommend the free app on the market," battery calibration" to calibrate the battery or recalibrate as the case may be...

With humility, backed by the machine to rule all others *wink*...
I hope this helps.

Has anyone noticed any roaming issues? Am I missing the option to show data while roaming our is it a given and preset to on.... I am on the road daily crossing states boundaries and need it but have noticed a lot of oos issues even heaving cycled airplane mode regularly.

Any chance of swapping the landscape switch with airplane mode in the pull down?

Any chance of a 4g toggle?

Haha, I don't want much do I, lol...

Just point me on the right track and I'll help where I can!

If I were to say... request direction on acquiring the most awesome Darky Keyboard from the full UNL3ASH3D ROM, would that be asking too much? xD

On my Droid Bionic, (with moderate use) I typically get 12+ hours. In my experience, killing useless background apps that are hogging CPU/memory resources and disabling auto-sync, notifications (social app notifications, market updates, etc...) will improve battery life by at least 30% (if not more). I use a free app called Autostart to disable apps that have no business starting at boot-time. I also use Android Assistant (also free) to monitor the CPU usage. If you're not doing anything with your phone and the CPU idle is below 85% than you have apps running in the background that are sucking up battery life. Consider shutting down your media / streaming app when not using it. just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it's not sucking up battery life in the background. Also, disabling auto-sync and/or notifications for Facebook or other social apps and market update notifications will give you an additional 10%-15% percent.

So what's the moral of this story? There is no one major thing you can do that will increase your battery life. it's the the small tweaks and paying attention to what background apps and processes are running that will pay off in the long run.

Hope that help!

Here's what I did and after flashing 1.7 and calibrating, t finally out my phone o on the charger.... 29 hrs later after moderate too heavy prime time use and basic drain over night!!! That's in the standard NOT the extended battery!

After flashing to 1.7... Download battery calibration from the market and install.
I use circle battery widget as another way To insure I'm at 100% then, while still plugged in, I hit calibrate....

After calibrating my batteries, both of them, my battery drain is as bad as it was before. I was having awesome battery stats on v1.3. Any way I can get back to that version from 1.7?

yeah if you still have the 1.3 file saved, just wipe all data, cache, etc and install 1.3 again

Any word on how to get original Gmail on? I tried renaming gmail.apk and then installing Market version but it FC's

***Found fix: Download gmail.apk from here:
Mod may want to verify this is not a warez site - I don't believe it is /shrug
http://www.apktop.com/google-gmail-2-3-5-2.html

rename /system/app/Gmail.apk to Gmail.bak

Copy downloaded .apk and move to /system/app directory then change the permissions to show rw-r--r-- then install.

Works like a champ.

Yeah, same battery drain as yesterday. Flashed back to my nandroid backup of 1.6 & the drain continued! Love the rom, no doubt, but this isn't something I can live with. :icon_ cry:

I've probably posted this in this thread already, but here it is again and it has worked for me over and over:

Battery Life – BY: NoBloatware on DF

consider doing a factory reset. Do not sync apps, wifi connections, etc. with Google services as that may cause a problem. Install all apps and wifi connections from scratch. A bit of a pain, but not too bad.- install a home/launcher replacement. I use Go Launcher EX, which is free, and I love it. No reason not to try out an alternative launcher as you can always go back to how you had it.

- don't use an automatic task killer--not even the one that comes with the phone. Reboot your phone and look at what's running. If anything that you've installed is running and there's no reason for it, then uninstall it and find an alternative that behaves. Ignore any stock apps that run on boot as I've found them to be more or less benign.

- weather widgets, live wallpapers, news/social feeds, any app or service that you use that runs--do without it if you can.

- don't use antivirus

- the DLNA app pops up a dialog box that will set your WIFI sleep policy to never. The default is "turn off when screen turns off" and I personally think that this setting is the best thing for battery life. Under wifi settings view your connections then hit menu to see "Advanced options" where you can set the sleep policy

- if you have access to wifi, leave it toggled on as it is more efficient than 3G. This is different from the sleep policy.

- I leave GPS toggled on too by the way. Apps use it as needed. When I'm done with Maps or an app that uses it, I'm sure to return to the home screen so GPS can stop. Under wireless settings turn on "Google location services" so that an app is able to use network resources to get your location instead of GPS. I have "VZW location services" turned off--don't know why that option is even there. By the way, I increase the speed of voice output > text to speech > speech rate because I like the directions to get spit out faster. That saves a bit of battery. Turning off the display and just listening for directions help. Also, often I just get the directions and then exit back to the home screen: GPS uses so much battery I try to get it over with ASAP.

- when you get a new battery, do a factory reset, or an OS upgrade run your battery all the way down until the phone shuts off and then charge the battery all the way up. This will callibrate the phone's understanding of the battery's capacity. Do this once every month or two also, but don't do it too often if you can help it.

- I have my battery set to "Performance Mode" and data is on all the time because I am on call 24x7. If you don't mind, try out a more conservative battery profile to save more gobs of energy.

- set screen brightness to "Automatic"

- under Accounts, click on any account listed and turn off sync for any items that you're not interested in syncing. For example, Google Books if you don't use it. Don't use Backup Assistant--I prefer syncing my contacts with Google. You don't need both. Also go into your contacts > menu > display options > backup assistant > UNCHECK. Also do contacts > menu > more > settings > contact storage > and select your Google account and "remember this choice"
