It doesnt say wipe data / factory reset but thats kinda like SOP comming from another rom even if it is stock rooted. If you dont wipe data your putting a rom on top a rom and its not the same rom like in a update. How would that work makes good sense. One thing Im confused about WTF is the power boost.

If you watch what is wiped during a factory reset and wipe, system is not one. Hence the need to wipe system as well. The factory/data wipe wipes personal data and caches not system files.

Yeah i did notice that when I just flashed to 1.7. Thanks.

Anyone know why this is failing? Won't backup, unthrottle seems to work, but it all fails. This is with the updated bionic.sh

Then when I go to check the mods, a lot of it seems to be not on according to the output:

I'm putting a $5 bounty (via PayPal) on my issue, partly because everyone that has these fixes seems to be able to get more than my measly 5 hours. Some notes before hand:

During the terminal output above, the following conditions occured:

The phone was restored to stock by FXZ.
The SD card and sd-ext were wiped.
The data/factory was wiped.
The cache was wiped.
The Dalvik cache was wiped.
The battery stats were wiped.
The rom was installed and rebooted, sit for 5 minutes as per instruction.

So what is causing those issues?

I'm a Newbie and I even understand that Wipe means ERASE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNAL CARD GEEZ!!!!!!

In Bionic Bootstrap I Wipe/Factory Data Reset Everything then Install Zip from EXT SD Card has Worked Great on Every Th3ORY Rom for the Bionic...

Did that and more. If there was something on it, it got nuked.

Downloading the Rom now will let you know if I run into any issues. You did make sure to get rid of anything related to Powerboost as well. You may just need to Flash the FXZ File and start from scratch.

Try this Install Video Guide:

Also this one to Flash the Stock FXZ File:

Ok... so little buggy alright runing 1.7 and the expirance add on....
Now here is the problem ..... when you try to download a application from market you get a forclose error .. to get around it have to reboot the phone and run the app. Again to get it to work... now maybe is only me.. but thats the issue anyone else? ????
Other than that is smooth...

So... I'm in the same predicament as some others with Powerboost. Before flashing v1.7, I made sure to follow instructions and wipe data, cache, and dalvik. The flash went fine. From what I understand, to initiate Powerboost I needed to DELETE all traces of unthrottle from the sd card (which I did). I deleted the entire folder from sd card-ext, and there were no traces on sd card. After opening Terminal and inputting the commands previously listed, I also get the 'file not found' message. Were we supposed to leave the unthrottle after all? This doesn't make sense, but I'm willing to do what needs to be done. I've read so many posts and threads and haven't gotten a clear answer (outside of reflashing the ROM--which I'd like to avoid if possible).

Have you tried wiping market data and then trying to download. That kind of happened to me earlier today after a market data wipe all was good.
