Ok now I'm even more confused. WTF is cheesecake? Do we need to download and install the 839 update in ROM manager (install .zip from SD card)? Thanks.

One more thing You need RSD lite 5.5 any version under with not read the tar.gz file

I swear if it were possible to Kick My Own Ass I would. I do Everything right I do the Forever Root and the Cheesecake 893 OTA UPDATE I upgrade to 2.0 and everythings great and the like a Frickin Dumbass I'm thinking can I still go back to stock so I run Dhackers One Click Recovery and guess who's No Longer Rooted No Longer has 893 and Can't Reroot? That would be My Dumbass all I can do now is how a New Root process comes along or I'm Stock for Good!!!

Have you looked at this thread: [ROOT] R3L3AS3D W/FOR3V3R ROOT V1.0 LINUX/WINDOWS (Get ROOT after 893 OTA OOPS) - RootzWiki. Don't know if it will work for you as I didn't read the whole thing. But good luck.

i thought about that too but i think it because the developer considered it "bloatware" ....you can always get it in the market place regardless

So I'm trying to do the "Permanent Forever Root" after flashing back to stock and my mount3 file doesn't have several lines that his does. I don't have any of the busy box lines etc. [ADV] Permanent Forever Root for Motorola Smartphones - YouTubes that a problem? I flashed back to stock with the One Click and had Pete's tool give me root. Will that root still work for the above permaroot procedure? Thanks.

Yeah I was just curious. I did that and backed it up w titanium. I just personally could never consider NFL mobile bloatware. Lol.

Epic question!

A little out of the loop for the past few weeks... so if I'm on stock rooted (some bloatware renamed using RootExplorer) .886, can I just install R3BLURR3D v2.0 and have rooted .993 kernel and radio?

Or do I need to mess with this cheesecake/forever root/FXZ monkey business?

If so, can someone lay out the steps exactly ?
