RAZR dropped, then Galaxy Neuxus, Then RAZR Agian:)

True Android experience and being built for ICS doesnt help me...based on my wants n needs. See, for me its been the opposite. For my wants n needs...Motorola has yet to let me down. Cant say the same for Samsung...But I still give them the benefit of the doubt. Wants n needs are the key factors. And we all dont share the same. But I may get it and do some comparisons. Will know on Wed.

And when I said after 2 exchanges or to bad experiences....I mean that for any manufacture. I see ppl go thru mutiple exchanges with Moto phones...and I scratch me head...lol. I woulda been tried another manufacture.

Go back and look through some of the early Droid X threads. That baby was a mess until it finally got 2.2.1. Every phone that comes out has a bunch of owners posting about problems. One advantage the Razr did have was cousin Bionic was released two months earlier and I'm sure Moto was able to tweak a couple of things!

Many of your points are bogus. I took mine off the charger at 6:30 this morning and I still have maybe 40% battery left to name just one. That's almost 12 hours with no app like JuiceDefender or anything. And I would say it was with medium use - majority of that on WiFi so the phone trying to connect to 4G didn't kill the battery.. Yes, it runs ICS and there will be bugs - and there are some. But that is to be expected when yours is the first to run an new major version of an OS. Throw in the LTE and you have a possible cause for even more issues - which some consider major while most consider them minor.
More important is, why do the RAZR people feel the need to have to attack the GNex like a bunch of iSheep fanboys would? That tells me something.

My points aren't bogus to me. I am just posting my experiences so that others might benefit with the same dilemma.

I must admit I get great battery life. I take it off the charger at about 6:30 and I went until 9 with 30% battery life left. The phone flies. And so far all lte devices seems to be dealing with their own form of issues on the network and requiring updates to fix it with the exception of the rezound (Htc learned from the tbolt). What you have to ask is what you want. Most people who buy the nexus wanted it for roms and development so they dont mind getting their fixes from roms. If you decide that is not your cup of tea then motorola may be your best bet. Motorola makes great hardware and they have solid radios.

First mistake was saying "the RAZR ppl" I'm pretty sure no one person, no RAZR fanboy speaks for every RAZR owner. And what about G Nex people feeling the need to have to defend their phone.....in a thread thats not in the G Nex section. I could see if this was in the G nex section...unless this thread was moved... Or how about G Nex folks feeling its the best phone ever created....and nothing compares...doesnt that remind you of iSheep fanboys.... And cmon...I see G Nex users bash the RAZR too. Its happens on both sides. Every phone, device has fanboys.

See what I did there...:happy3: I guess its ok to bash the iPhone huh...FWIW...some ppl just act like fanboys period, bashing or defending. I really feel part of the problem is some folks expected it to be alot smoother experience with the G Nex, and it hasnt been that way yet. Remember...some of these are ppl that actually had or tried the G Nex and switched to, wanted something else. Bad experiences happen. With every phone. Ppl are fanboys for/against HTC, Moto phones too. Why does the G Nex have to be different? Cuz its the first Pure Android Phone on Verizon? It gets treated like.....every ...other....phone.....

For reception and battery life? I dont remember alot of threads about that. There probably was. I remember some threads about reception and battery life. Some were bad phones, so I still give Samsung the benefit of the doubt. Wants n needs......

And how many updates has the G Nex had...before it even came out? Yea its a new OS n all, understand that. But my wants n needs outweigh everything else, like I'm sure everyone's does. If I had reception and battery life issues with the DX1 it woulda went back. Like some ppl did that switched to something else. First thing I noticed was the better reception than my Droid 1. Some ppl had the opposite experience. Maybe I had a bad Droid 1.

Its all a crap shoot for a good working phone. I will see how good my luck is if I keep it Wed.

Nothing will ever beat the absolute blood bath that went on in the Bionic section during the first month it was out. Brutal!

Hey it use to be iphone vs android. In away its good that we can have a debate between which android device is better. There was a time when there was the eris and the moto droid. And remember January of last year (see my article on google currents for more detail) but android users though vzw was going to give up on them and sell out for the iphone. Look we are a year out and we fighting over which is better between rezound, razr, and gnexus which all 3 are great devices to choose from. So in away continue to fight :icon_ devil: respectfully. But really it is about preference and i am glad android has gotten to a place where there are more than one good device especially on vzw, who for a time was watching other carriers getting flagship device after flagship device while their customers grumble and complaint.

Thanks, No offense meant to you or anyone else with a Nexus, Just posting my personal story and experinces. I hope I had a dud Nexus bc there is a lot of good points I didn't go into as far as user customization things. I just knew the RAZR was for me. Always had good luck with MOTO's

Non taken. They're both good phones. My cousin just got a RAZR and he loves it. I prefer the Nexus. What's important to one may not be important to the next.

Glad to see there hasn't been to many Nexus barber's come here yet. Its sad, really. We're all on the same page which is Android. User experience varies for every phone. Since the Nexus was supposed to be the phone of all phones and was hyper boosted over the internet, it's bugs are brought out to be more horrid then say.. if the LG Revolution had these same problems. Similar to the Bionic release in September.

However, the Nexus bugs are being sorted out with roms and we're seeing less and less posts about them. But take in mind this is after rooted. So stock owners are still going to find these problems. Personally, I've seen none minus bad battery when I first got the phone as well as bad reception the first day. But now the phone is perfect to me and getting better due to the amazing dev support.

Get the phone that suits YOU more without bashing other phones. Criticism and telling experiences is one thing, bashing other phones however is just childish.

This whole Nexus vs Rezound vs Razr debate is making us look like Apple, or even completly brainwashed Android fan boys making fun of competition blindly.

One of the things about this whole Razr vs GN debate that I see time and time again is the "pure Android experience " topic. I posted on two different sites asking what on the Razr was "Blurred" besides some optional widgets and couldn't get an answer.

I'll ask it again, can someone point out the Blur on the Razr besides some widgets?

Whether it's a gnex, RAZR or a cheeseburger. If your happy, be happy, become happy, embrace your new happiness. No need to be unhappy. I'll say this about the razr people, they're pretty dam proud of their phones. I think that says a lot for the phone. But I wouldn't trade my gnex for 2 razrs. This phone is what makes me happy.

Everything. You would have to see an Aosp gingerbread rom to really see.

Just waiting for the GNex trolls to show up and start flaming your post but both phones are good choices but I prefer my Kevlar coated Razr over a plastic phone any day. I feel that the Razr is more overall great phone over the nexus. Another satisfied Razr owner if you ask me :-)

Apparently you haven't noticed all the Bionic/RAZR trolls going around then.

Really? Do you realize that kevlar is a fabric and quite floppy? Check out the videos of the back being removed, what protection does it really do?

Mines not floppy nor do I see a reason to take the back apart nor do I educate myself on YouTube to be dumb enough to take it apart. Maybe you should read up how Kevlar is more durable than plastic is other than being a YouTube doctorate graduate.
