[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.0 Gingerbread - 1-11-2013

To get rid of the "built in" go launcher do I delete the file "launcher2.apk"? (located in system/app/)

4.6 you have peaked my interest, ya I really wasn't on the new 902/905 wagon especially on the no downgrade part.

GreenSnow I never really played with the go launcher I got so use to the steel 3.0 theme guess I really didn't give it a chance. I here alot of people like it when they get it tweaked right. Think I'll play with it some more and see what happens.

Also looks like my "recovery" button on my pull down menu (off the status bar) is no longer working, it worked at first and now doesn't, regular restart and all the others work fine

The new android market "Google play" or "play store" fixed the off set colors for v4.5, just an observation for those who were bothered by that :-)

blue tooth connection

Yes I had issues with my bluetooth connecting as well and so I went to google store and installed vlox I think it is? Works fine other then the voice over is a bit rough.

sorry vlox is the voice recognition prog

What you want is Hands-Free voice Dialer:CD+ The voice is is a terrible robot female rendition but it syncs with bluetooth well, for I think total of 7 bucks you can upgrade to sexy voice or death star voice by downloading vlox classic/voice of choice. I have tried others but they only work with blue tooth device after the call is made. That is the only one that syncs right away with blue tooth device..

update on bluetooth

Ok quick update after some research.. this is the best bluetooth fix on the market. I have had bluetooth sync issues with every version of steel droid thus far. Great operating system but the bluetooth is a work in progress. So here is the best working work around :)

Google market : Hands-Free voice Dialer:CD+
Google Market : SVOX CLASSIC & (VOICE OF YOUR CHOICE)

After you download the
Hands-Free voice Dialer:CD+ and install the SVOX CLASSIC & (VOICE OF YOUR CHOICE, if you want something better then terrible robo women) you then have to go into your phones speech recognition settings in the setting tab. Change over all recognitions from PICCO to SVOX. Then you are all set :):icon_ lala::icon_ lala:
