[ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

Anyone having a problem when sending MMS? I can receive pictures but when I try to send them it just shows "Sending..." but never does.

are you using handcent? if so you have to switch to the motorola (blur) messaging. open terminal emulator and do the following:

su
messaging -mot

Will this change the battery in the status bar too?

Any way to get the battery percentage to go by 1% rather than 10%?

there is a widget called batteryleft that can show in 1% increments

no, unfortunately changing the increments in the notification bar requires changing code or something beyond my knowledge. i remember on windows mobile there was a rom that had 1% increments and the constant checking by the system sucked the life out of the battery

Ok so i tried overclocking my phone, but i must've set the frequency too high and it now reboots constantly. i tried doing a factory reset by formatting the data and the cache, but it still loads up ApeX 1.3.1 and continues to reboot. Any Ideas?

did you happen to make any backups via rom manager/bootstrapper? if not, you may have to sbf. in the future, when you are trying a new overclock setting, i would recommend not having anything set at boot until you've run it for a while to make sure it is stable

No, I'm using -aosp for the gallery and the messaging app. I tried switching both to -mot but in the Motorola one's it said something about national coverage area being unavailable. If you can send pictures from AOSP just let me know and I can try reflashing.

Just wiped cache and flashed 1.3.1 over my current 1.3.1, it's loading up now, I'll let you know. Thanks.

Edit: Still doesn't work. What gallery are you using, and how are you selecting the pictures to send them?

i am using the AOSP gallery. i select them with attach in the message menu and select them from the gallery. maybe it is a signal problem, which would explain the national coverage error you got. try cycling airplane mode, or *228 and select option 2.

Unless you set it to scale @ boot, then you should be fine. Are you using a script or an app?

I don't think either the AOSP or Blur MMS apps have issues sending MMS, it's just when you use Handcent, it needs the Blur app as the "native" system app to send MMS.

I think that trying a *228 may be the best route to try to fix the issue.

If you do inadvertently get stuck in a boot loop because of overclocking too high, if you can get into Clockwork still, you can delete the bootup file that defines overclocking through adb. You'll need to have the phone plugged in first, pull the battery when it bootloops, and put it back in and you should be in Clockwork (assuming you bootstrapped recovery). Then, go to mounts and mount system. Then in adb:

rm /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

And it won't apply the overclock settings at boot anymore.

It was something with on off widget pack. It showed 3g as sending and recieving, but APN was turned off, I uninstalled it to get it working again. Can send and recieve MMS now.

I made a backup using bootstrapper. how would i be able to restore it?

I used a script to overclock. i set the voltage to low and set the frequency to boot at 1.3 ghz because my phone would revert back to 1ghz when i started it back up.
