[ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

Hi everyone... just got my X last night and got rooted ASAP. I have had a rooted OG and a rooted Inc. I am really enjoying Apex 1.3.1, thanks for the work Fabolous! For some reason thought I dont have a boot animation. I get the generic "androd" with moving blue when I go throug the boot. I found the animation I want to run and placed it in my data/local and it didnt boot, so I then put it in sytem/media and still no boot. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help!!!

Just get the bootanimation.zip on your sdcard, then in terminal emulator:
su
cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local

I'm must be having a noob moment because I cannot get the goodies pack 1 installed on 1.3.1. I've renamed it update.zip, moved it to the root of my SD card and rebooted into recovery. I select it to install it, all looks well, reboot and my battery icon is still the same.

What am I doing wrong?

In terminal pick either

su
messaging -aosp

*for aosp messaging*

Or

su
messaging -mot

*for blur messaging*

Yes that's the list. But mine only has
google
create new group
facebook

nothing else

not sure why or what happened. I just want that back and this is perfect for me! I love this rom (yes first once after stock)

I only get Create new group, favorites, and google. I'm thinking this is only based on the groups you have available via setting up accounts or actually having "phone" contacts. Are you sure you have contacts that fit into the category you feel you are missing?

I don't do any social network junk on my phone (feel so much freedom not checking twitter and facebook all the time) so I don't have those options in my contacts as there are no contacts within those groups.

How do I fix the problem of mms not sending again? Im on 1.3.0.

Check and see if data is enabled. I had this problem and it was being caused by OnOff Widgets.

So i installed Apex 1.3.. and my 3b mobile hotspot went bye bye.. i went to send a new text message and realized i can't really select contacts! soo i came here hoping for an update.. 1.3.1 was my answer to the text messaging but not my 3G mobile hotspot.. i seem to have lost it completely..

Being the smart monkey that i am i made a backup of my phone incase something went wrong.

I don't want to restore from my backup because this rom is like.. the best rom there is!! it runs so smoooooooth and i'm here to say u did a better job then google ;D

Soo i'm asking.. any fix for my missing 3G Mobile Hotspot? is that considerd bloatware? let me know.. hopfully before christmas when i go on my trip and have now lost without internet or have to do a restore.

Nvm, got it on my phone again! I used your instructions and files Fab! I guess you really are Fabulous! thanks. i look more forward to updates from your rom then i do from google hahaha.

"There's a 'removedapps.zip' file I added to the bottom of the first post. Download that and extract 'Mynet.apk' from it and place it on your sdcard.

Then, on your phone, in Terminal emulator, run the following:

su
install Mynet.apk"

Thanks for that link! That fixed my problem. I had asked if that very file was what I was missing a few pages back in this thread too. Now I can actually go into the contact app and look at phone only contacts instead of doing it thru the dialer. Thanks again!

Anyone know how to get the transitions with LPP? I get all but the left-->right twist transition when you press the home button or back out of an application.

hey everyone, i upgraded to 1.3.1 few days ago and am still having problems with random reboots. I did what was suggested to wipe my cache and factory reset through bootstrapper. Still happens every so often, need help with how to remedy this problem.

I love the latest Apex for my Droid X, however can I get rid of the transitions and have no transitions? If so, how can I do it?
