[ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

Hi! I'm on 1.3.1 and loving it. My first ROM. I have two questions:

1. How do you return to strock when I need to to receive an OTA update from Verizon or Motorola?

2. My GMAIL is not syncronizing. Any ideas?

Thanks for your responses.

you should have made a nandroid backup before installing the rom (if you were smart) so if you ever need to go back to stock just flash that, unroot, uninstall clockwork recovery and you'll be back to a totally stock phone.

or SBF your phone

Crypto,

I have no clue if I did that. I don't remember using this. I did use bootstrapper and it conducted a back up (I think)? I'm a rookie at this and make the decision to just go for it on Christmas night.

So, XDR......do I just download those four files to my SD Card and then reboot my phone? I'm sorry if this is too basic. I'm trying to learn.

yeh, bootstrap is what you use to make a backup. So if you made one before installing the ROM you are good.
If you ever need to update, just go back to that

so can we install the latest version of adw on top of this or will the new features need to be integrated in the next release?

If you're talking about ADW EX, I installed it and it's awesome, everything works. I think I might have updated the plain ADW now that I think of it, everything works normal for that too.

Hello fab or anyone who can help. For some reason my quickoffice has stoles working properly. It used to allow me to do everything like supposed to, but now I get the following error l. "File cannot be opened" regardless of trying to preview a file pr create a new one.

It does allow me to view odds without a problem but not doc and xls. This is a major problem. I need to have this fixed before the new years. Any suggestions or solutions?

tried running the overclock script in terminal emulator and the phone freezes up when applying the ULV 1.25GHZ setting. I uninstalled Droid overclocker and decided to try your script alongside SetCPU instead

funny thing is I've been running ULV 1.25GHZ with droid x overclocker for a long time with no problems.

I thought I was too until I ran this in Terminal and found out that I wasn't!

su
cat /proc/overclock/mpu_opps

Check yourself before you reck yourself....

Try flashing the hotfix from before, I think I've gotten feedback that this fixes the Quickoffice issue.

Is there a way in 1.3.1 to disable the sound that the camcorder makes when you hit the button to record?

BD6675

Did you use the sounds script?

In terminal:

su
sound -d

If you ever want to reenable them:

su
sound -e
