[ROM] ApeX V2.0.0 Release Candidate (RC2) (6/11/2011)

if I sbf back to stock, install .596 update from provider will I be able to root n flash your rom?

You do not want to install the OTA. You want to sbf back, root with z4root, get droid 2 bootstapper and then find the two part .596 from p3droid and then you should be good to go. Just go into recovery and install the two zips.

Well...I went back to Liberty GB. I was having some weird music player issues, and worse battery life than I was used to on Liberty GB or Froyo Apex. For the music player issues, one time I plugged in my headphones, and a music player started...it was the new Google Music Beta app, but I wanted to use Doubletwist, so I brought down the menu to activate Google Music, but when I did that it stopped playing and disappeared from the menu. So I figured oh well, and closed the menu so I could start Doubletwist, and then Google Music started playing again. Brought down the menu again, stopped playing, etc. Eventually I got it shut down and Doubletwist started, but I had some other weird cases of starting Doubletwist, went about my business, and then suddenly Google Music started up and started playing out of thin air...very, very odd. Also, wifi...it was kind of hit or miss. Usually it worked fine, but then sometimes it wouldn't automatically connect to my wifi at home, and sometimes it would. My laptop has never had connectivity problems, so I have to assume it's Apex. I'm definitely going to try it again when a final release is out though!

So far it runs real good! The only thing I can't get working is the gallery from within the Blur Camera app. I reinstalled the Blur Camera apk so I could do widescreen shots, but if I click the picture thumbnail from in the camera it says Media Manager isn't installed. I put the MediaManager.apk back in, but no dice.

i am interested in installing this rom but one of the requrements "You must be on .596 rooted or a .596 based ROM."

I am on the official gingerbread build and do not know how to get onto a rom of .596. i have z4root that i plan on using for rooting.

Thank you so much for this amazing ROM. I bought a used Droid X on faith that it would deliver and it has and more.

The only "bug" that I really notice is when scrolling slowly, the image gets grainy. Don't know if it's software or hardware problem. But, it's something I can easily overlook when everything else is so awesome.

Is there HDMI support for Apex? I can't get Xternal display to work and I don't want to pay for real hdmi unless this rom has support. Thanks.

DX on Apex
