So I only have one main issue right now - I cannot get USB mass storage mode to work...there's no way for me to see the SD card on my PC (through the phone's USB cable). I've re-flashed from scratch, just in case. Just wiped out system, data/cache and tried 14.1 and no luck there either. I can view the card in file manager (on the device), download files, read files, etc. from the SD card, so I know it's OK.

Known issue. Build 14.1 should have taken care of it. Try plugging, unplugging, the plugin again. That should help.

The latest nightly seems to have fixed the USB problem... at least, it's working for me without having to plug in twice.

Only issue I have is the live wallpapers not working (no biggie)
Quadrant score is higher than before.
GPS still blazing fast.
Battery is holding up good to downloads/setup.

Still seem to have a slight issue from time to time with the backlight of the keys. However, I had issues on the stock build of froyo and the leaked GB, so it might be my phone...

This probably going to sound really dumb but... I can't install this directly to my phone caan I? Or do I have to download it through a computer and then put it on my sd card?

You can download it from wherever you want. Just be on froyo and flash it.

Try installing "download all files" app from market to your phone.

Downloading large files from file share sites on my D2 has been twitchy in the past for me, across various ROMs. I typically download to my PC and transfer via USB.

Make sure you flash back to Froyo before loading CM - either SBF, or get the Team Black Hat app ($3) and download the zip that you can flash like a ROM directly from the phone that will SBF you phone back to Froyo stock/unrooted w/out having to use RSD light, etc.

Then you root, and install CM.

After reading through the Dev thread, it seems that the stock live wallpapers are not working, but market live wallpapers ARE working. Check it out, see what happens.

Really impressed with this dev rom. ran revs nightly for 28th and very usable in the dev state...the alt lock and landscape keyboard issues don't bother me

I have never had a pure google experience and this is pretty stellar. However, I dont have market and I cant seem to get it. Anyone have a link or something that I could get the android market from?

You need to install Google Apps (aka "Gapps") which are not included in the ROM.

Look in ROM Manager (included in CM4D2) - under Download ROM, and select the Google Apps option and choose the newest version.

You can put a google apps zip on your SD card so you can flash it when you are flashing the ROM to do it in the same CWRecovery session.
