[ROM] [BETA] CyanogenMod 7 for Droid 2

Can he try installing through the update.zip option in stock recovery? That would install the all in one that was renamed right?

CM74D2

I am wondering the same but don't dare do anything yet. Although, at this point what else could happen, lol!

That's why I suggested the update.zip thing. You may just have to sbf if a battery pull doesn't get you into cw

Try turning it on and pull the battery. Replace and power on. If that doesn't work while the moto logo is showing, plug in, pull the battery while plugged in. The moto logo will linger. Unplug, replace battery and power on
Not sure how this works with cm, but this worked on liberty, apex and zs. If it still won't work, it may be time to sbf

Tried both several times to no avail. Anybody know how to SBF using a Macbook?

Anyone else's touch screen go crazy when plugged into the charger on build 19? I am only touching with one finger, but it's as if there are touches all over the screen. When I take it off the charger, problem goes away

I would wipe data/factory reset if I were you. Reboot, then try the procedures again.

What procedures are you referring to? I can only access stock recovery as I am stuck on the M logo screen.

You're in the stock recovery. Select wipe data/factory reset. Reboot your phone or turn it off then on till you're on the lockscreen. Then redo the procedures (my instructions).

I've seen that on the D1 and D2 w/specific chargers, goes away when I stop using that charger.

I had no way to get to the lock screen, as mentioned I was stuck at the logo screen. Tried everything to no avail. Finally, went and used neighbors PC and SBFd back to stock, Again...

Now I am back to stock, time to try again...

You're back to 2.3.20, right?

It's VERY simple from there:

1. Get copy of latest (Build 19) CM4D2 from CM4D2 unnoficial nightly links
2. Get copy of Gaaps (6/13 version) from http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip
3. Put 1 and 2 above on your SD card
4. Load D2 Bootstrapper and bootstrap and then launch CW Recovery
5. Wipe data/factory reset
6. Wipe System (and you can wipe Dalvik Cache and Batter Stats as well)
7. Use Install zip from SD card to flash CM build 19
8. Use install zip from SD card to install Gaaps

Reboot. You're good.

While running the CM4D2 ROM NEVER install or use D2 Bootstrapper, if you do you will bootloop and have to SBF. Only use D2 Boostrapper while running stock Froyo to get into Recovery to flash CM4D2.
