If all he installed was the two-part update, he would still have to update to .596...I'm not sure what the 2-part gets you to, but I'm almost positive it's not .596.

The ones named "Blur_Version.2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US-Part1.zip" and "Blur_Version.2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en.US-Part2.zip"? Because all of the guides I've seen say to install those two, then to run another odexed or deodexed update (your choice, I downloaded the 596-Odexed.zip file)... So...that's a bit confusing.

Please ignore the above statement entirely, when I saw the .340, I just naturally assumed it was a Froyo file.
I would just SBF if you are trying to get back to Froyo, especially if you are already on GB. The two part files I was referring to are the rooted GB files that get you to rooted GB, .596.
EDIT: My B that is the file names for the two part GB.
Ok thanks for the quick response. I am looking for something I can flash and been done. You said liberty has minor bugs when they are fixed will it just be like a update or do I have to flash again? I basically want the liberty again but I want to flash and be done not keep going back and forth.

Yes I do want liberty gingerbread. What I am asking is if I flash to liberty v.08 what is the process after that for the bug fix. You mentioned nightlys, I have to go to that everynight and update or do I have to flash everynight? I just want to flash to v.08 and be done I am ok if everything else is like a update. I just don't want to flash everynight.
Haha. OK so get on the gb leak. Did that? OK dl the liberty toolbox for 5 bucks. Go to the section called rom manager. Now click nightlies. There you'll see the latest version 0.8. Dl this. When its done it will ask if you want to install. If you hit yes it will do it for you, but i would hit cancel and exit out. Boot into clockwork manually with bootstraper. Wipe data and install zip from sd (it will be in the liberty folder, subfolder nightlies. Flash it. That's it.

To actually answer this question...Nightlies aren't just little updates, they're basically full Rom's, just the next release version. Some of the nightlies require a full data/cache wipe, some don't require any wipe, some require a cache wipe, it depends on the update, but the dev should specify what is required for each new release. However, in a lot of cases, doing a full data/cache/dalvik wipe can prevent major or minor issues from popping up down the road, regardless of what's actually required (I always do a full wipe when flashing any ROM, but that's just me).
