So this is for.the people with the ota gb that came.out or for.people running the leaks?

It's for everyone.

My advice is to use utilities such as Titanium Backup and SMS Backup and Restore to save your data. Then follow the directions on My Droid World (linked in the OP install instructions) to get yourself onto the rooted OTA. Then install LGB and restore your app/data.

I do not see the link to My Droid World that is linked in the OP install instructions. Am I just overlooking it. This is discussed on page one of this thread. Thanks

Not sure, I am stock GB on DX and am a newbie, but want to root and install Liberty. Just trying to follow the instructions, Thanks

So it you're on the ota gb, you'll need to sbf back to froyo. Then reroot and install the the gb leak from the above thread I posted. Then, you can install liberty gb. I would get reading. You'll want to dl rsd lite 4.9, the latest drivers from the motorola site and the full dx sbf file. Search youtube for how to sbf dx. After sbf, use z4root to root and use bootstraper to install the 2 part gb leak from the thread above.
Also check out kaseys post above as well. All this sounds like a lot, but if you take responsibility for it and learn how to do all this stuff through research, it'll be worth it! PM me and i'll send you my number. It would probably help to talk you through it rather than write all this crap out, only to be mis read or misunderstood

So to do this i would
1. Flash gingerbread
and then flash this.
Now after that would I use Bootstrap for Droid X or for Droid 2.
and also if i backup all of my apps in Liberty Toolbox before flashing will i be able to reinstall them once im on Liberty Gingerbread?
Please respond soon!

Agenda you on a d2 or dx? Yes, flash gb. Backup apps with titanium backup pro. Once on gb, flash liberty gb. Then restore apps (i wouldn't do data, but it probably won't hurt).

I lost recovery after installing Liberty .8. when in ROM Mangager it says my current 2.5.0.7, but it will not boot into anything but stock recovery. using the Pro Liberty Tool box, droid 2 bootstrapper, or battery pools. it reboots, shows liberty fist, then nothing. It's a black screen, but you can tell the phone is slightely back lit. Do battery pull, boots up fine. This is hendering me from installing .9, or any of my other patches etc. any suggestions?

All fixed now*****

It's up now. Minimal changelog though. I'm sticking with apex for the moment. Not that I was expecting much. Liberty is quite stable already
