Agreed. I do have another question that's not too important, however I would like to know for the sake of knowing. Where can I find the wallpapers that are loaded on the system memory?

I have no idea where the wallpaper is. I've looked everywhere in the rom. I must be missing something

Droid 2 APEX GB v2.0

I must say, after running this ROM for the last couple of hours I'm kinda liking it. I can only imagine what it'll be like when its an official stable ROM. Nice work Team Liberty!

Just want to clarify...

I want to start out by saying I read all pages of this point to this point. I am also fairly new to the ROM arena but have been a "techie" for many years - sadly decades but I digress.

I am currently using a Verizon DROID 2 Global and have successfully tried, the Fenom, Liberty, HeXXen, and angel ROMS using the D2G Romer when necessary.

My confusion is this - does this GB ROM work on the D2G using the D2G Romer and, if so, what are the steps to get from the stock Verizon SBF to this ROM? I just flashed back to stock SBF and did a data and cache wipe of the phone. Getting ready to do a battery calibrate right now....

Thanks in advance for help and advice...

tried to install v08. Followed directions exactly. When installing zip i get a message that says E:can't open /sdcard/lgbd2-v08.zip(bad).
I thought maybe a bad download so I installed the mirror version and got the same result.
Anyone know a fix?

Got it. Just kept downloading it and trying to install it. 4th download installed.

0.8 seems to be positively murder on my battery life. I am burning 15-20% of my battery per hour merely sitting idle. Barely using it, in just under two hours, I have gone from a full charge to 39%. Something isn't right here.

Might wanna get an app like OSMonitor and see what is running your CPU so much. I've been using v0.8 for about 5 days now and only the first day my battery seemed to drain faster than it was previously. Since then things seem to be normal.

Here's a screenshot of Saturday - Sunday's usage on Juiceplotter. Went over 24 hours and only down to 50%. Admittedly, I didn't use the phone much. Made a couple calls and a little browsing, that's it.

I do have a question though. I got the car dock back, but how do I get the media dock back? Looked under the Liberty Customizer but didn't see anything there listing media dock.

My car home gets stuck on the top bar when I remove it from the dock.
I have to reboot to get rid of it.
I installed it from the toolbox

I had an app called WatchDog installed. The only app that consistently went overboard was Google Music under 0.7. Nothing ever went over a 30% threshold since upgrading to 0.8 I think I'll just wait until later to install again, or revert back to 0.7. I don't know which just yet.

Watchdog is nice; I've used it before, but OSMonitor gives you a bit more information. When I had an issue with my battery life getting real bad on my phone, it took using OSMonitor to help point me in the right direction, though it still didn't really pinpoint the cause. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...tirqd-0-causing-constant-25-35-cpu-usage.html

Watchdog didn't show anything that was causing the issue. I did end up switching ROMs to Liberty to fix what was wrong and haven't gone back since.

EDIT: Also, may want to DL this sysctl file from Imoseyon http://www.imoseyon.com/2011/05/dxd2-tweaks-new-version-man-its-been.html and flash it. It can help with battery life.

the same was happening to me.I got batt calibrator from market and for the next 6 or 7 times when it was fully charge'd id calibrate it finally I'm back to where I should be.might have been a coincidence, but its worth a try

I also overuse the battery calibration app. If you don't want to flash the imoseyon tweak (which tweaks more than just systcl), you can dl systcl by jrummy in the market. In my experience (and what was taught to me) these are the values to use
