[ROM] Lithium Mod - Source built awesomeness! Themes galore!

Im having this problem receiving mms messages on my droid. I have read that its a problem with the 2.2 update. The message sizes are not being adjusted correctly. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks bud! I actually have been tracking your progress daily and I want more than anything to give this ROM a shot! I hope you see I have entirely good intentions for my waiting. I'm an IT Pro and I use Wifi and the call applications on a daily basis so these are big deals for me. Keep it up! dancedroid :)

The WiFi is most likely broke because the kernel module is not installed in their kernel. Just use a P3Droid kernel until they get the WiFi fixed in their kernel. I run the P3Droid kernel that is Low Voltage 125mHz-1000mHz and it works fine, and WiFi tethering even works too along with the normal WiFi client adapter mode.

Also, I am not having any trouble with the lock screen spilling off the edge of the screen like so many here are having. I use the GREEN theme (in case that could be a determining factor).

If you use a good backup / restore scheme (to leave a breadcrumb trail behind), then you can mess with whatever ROM you want and experiment all you want, and if you don't get a working system running and it is getting close to bedtime, then just back up that experimental one you are messing with (to update all your changes), and then revert back to your working ROM before you go to bed so that in the morning you can use your phone like normal.

Me personally, I got probably 100 or so saved ROMs (I dump the oldest ones to a PC when the SD card starts getting too much clutter on it). But if I don't get something working in time, I just revert back and mess with the experimental one when I get more time again.

I would recommend you try doing installs (try fresh one where you wipe everything). When I went to this Lithium ROM from Kangerade 5.0.9 I did not wipe data, but I ALWAYS go back into the recovery console and wipe CACHE before installing any new ROM and sometimes even wipe the cache again just for good measure after installing the new ROM. But this time I didn't do a fresh install, since I DID do a fresh install on the Kangerade install I did right before this one and I had all issues gone and that install was working perfectly.

But I think many people wind up having these weird install issues because of old stuff they had installed that is still there after many upgrades, or maybe certain things just didn't install right at a previous time. So I always recommend to people that if they have issues, then just re-install a few times until they are gone. I know this sounds ridiculous, but many people here have said they had to install a ROM (same install procedure) up to 4 times before it managed to flush all the old files out.

I just had an issue where Nandroid Restore I did said it finished successfully, but it just seemed to me like it went too fast and it was not working right and had issues, and so I rebooted the phone and did a restore again to a different ROM (than I had attempted before), and then that went fine, so I restored to the original file I had wanted to use the first time and then that time it went fine and it took a lot longer like it was supposed to take (and so I knew the flash 'took' that time).

So I just thought I'd share that, because I don't look at these Droid phones like I do a Windows or Linux Server where installing the OS might be an all day thing. I just make a new ROM any time I install anything so I can flash back if needed. Heck, I even do this a lot more when I build servers at work these days too. I make images a lot so that if something gets really 'borked' or 'hosed' bad I don't worry about trying to fix the problem (unless it's simple fix), I just wipe it and slap one of my old images on it and wahlah, back to normal again.

Loving the ROM so far but some things aren't as repsonsive as I would like (been running the stock Kernel) so I'm going to give the jdlfg 1Ghz kernel a shot. I will be sure to report back.

Did he correct the issue with the kernels giving an error when you try to enable wifi? Looks like that's a no. Just tried the 1GHz wifi test kernel and it angered my WaveSecure security app causing it to lock the device and sound this awful alarm that sounds like a woman screaming. Wifi still gives an error.

Yeah I'm using the red glass and was using watermark'd yesterday, both have the Call Answer issue. It's not the end of the world, but it certainly is something that is noticeable, especially if you receive a lot of calls.

haha yeah. I'm running the GalaS version and mine are all sorts of wonky. It went from the answer slider being slightly off the left edge to vertical sliders (still slide left and right though) after reflashing it over top of the old version. I kind of like it. lol

There won't be any updates until next week most likely. J is on vacation all week, iirc, so don't expect any changes in the coming days. For whatever its worth, I've had zero wifi issues; running red glass with P3 1.0 ghz lv kernel.

yeah, no issues here either with the P3 kernel. The wifi issues were when I tried to install the jdlfg lithium mod specific ones.

P3 1.1 kernel here and no wifi issues- wifi tether APP working fine also- in fact tether app not glitchy as it was with 5.0.9

Wife running pink life lithium- wifi working with stock kernel

both are 01p basebands also.

A few odd disconnects after running wifi tether- cleared up about 5 minutes after turning it off.

me- Luna Theme (no longer showing anywhere to download- love it)
wife- pink life theme (its just like her previous 5.0.9 pink life, just works better)

Can anyone confirm they have downloaded the blue theme and installed with no problems?? I have tried clockwork, sb recovery and rom manager. I cannot get it to install 100%. Once install finishes I get the Motorola M and just sits there. I have to go back and get my nandroid back up to get the phone working again. Im coming from Kangerade. I have tried doing it with and without wipes. Any help would be great!

This ROM is awesome!

The only issue I've found so far is that I'm no longer able to complete a full advance nandroid backup... it freezes half way through the bar while dumping system.tar.

Any thoughts?

Hmm I am having a issue kind of its that gmail says I have 6 emails however I don't idk what its talking about...if I reboot they go away but slowly come back

I have the blue theme running with ChevyNo1 ML 1.1G and most everything is fine. I have the lock screen slider issue and I had to reinstall maps. I am looking into the SetCPU issue now. My Quadrant scores are my highest ever (over 1500 consistantly).

So i'm fairly new to most of this.. I've installed the alternate dark theme.. trying to run the scripts (allinone using terminal) but basically they don't work.. anytime i run a script i get something along these lines..... (example ran all in one, chose 'run other scripts' and chose option 7 to turn off camera sound)

failed on '/system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg' - ready only file system
failed on '/system/media/audio/ui/videorecord.ogg' - ready only file system
camera sound has been disabled.
/system/xbin/allinone: cannot create /dev/nul: permission denied

and even though it says it's disabled it is NOT..

i get basically the same thing no matter which option(script) i choose.

any suggestions?

oh also, launcher2 appears to not be installed.. when i choose the file to install it always just says "application not installed".. i only have about 3 wallpapers to choose from i'm thinking this is way.. i have adw launcher and launcherpro..

Thanks in advance!!!

_Killer_ : type 'su' (without quotes) and hit enter before running the allinone script. If it prompts for superuser permissions, check 'Remember' and allow.
