That's funny cause I have answers it like 20 times.. sorry but no the blur dialer can not and will not be ported to Liberty as it would require undoing much of the hard work I did.. now lets all calm down with the cap locks

Ok, your advice about plugging into the wall instead of the computer was what allowed me to get to Clockwork recovery. Prior to that I was only able to get into the android recovery. So I was able to re-install Liberty, and all seems to be going well...resyncing now.

I still have a question as to whether or not installing a zip file or using an update.zip are really the same thing? i.e., if I were still only able to get into android recovery, could I rename the Liberty Rom zip to update.zip and use that option from the recovery menu? Because there is no other install from sdcard option in that menu like there is in the Clockwork recovery menu.

in my understanding "use a update zip" would apply to OTA zip only.
99,9% use "select a zip"

Just my 2 cents, first, I had an issue too and I tried changing the .zip to update.zip and it doesn't work (because of what kdkinc says above).

Also, kdkinc provided the same wall charger suggestion and it worked for my issue. I'm not sure how that procedure was even thought of but it was a life saver for me!

Finally took the leap and installed my first ROM.

Which rom was it? Liberty 1.5 of course!

I have to say that this rom is truly a work of art. The reason I waited so long to install a rom is because I didn't know which one I wanted to install..that's until I found Liberty and it was worth the wait.

After having spent about an hour using Liberty, I can't say that I ever want to go back to the Stock Android rom, not in the least. It's just so damn fast, smooth, lots of cool features, themes, etc, wow!

Incredible work, guys, just incredible! Keep up the great work, and can't wait to check out Liberty 2.0!

If you DON'T have data roaming enabled (I don't think it is by default) - this will suck your battery life.
Go to settings/Wireless & networks/Mobile networks
under there is a setting (or two) for data roaming. From what I have read, Verizon will not charge you for data roaming on your unlimited plan as long as you are in the US. If you enable data roaming, you will get much better battery performance.

When I go into wireless and network settings and click on mobile networks to try this, it just puts my phone into airplane mode ane then back out but it never takes me to my mobile networks settings. Does anyone know why this is doing this or what I can do to fix it? My battery is decent but I'd love to improve it if possible. Thanks

Install this via clockwork recovery...

Note: this just copies the original services.jar file from the liberty 1.5 rom back to your devices. Any part of a theme you are using that modded services.jar will be reverted back to liberty 1.5 default...

Thanks guys. I'll give it a try but I just wanna double check a couple things since I'm new to this. I'm assuming I go into bootstrap recovery and just install the zip without deleting anything first and it will bring me back to the default theme? Also it won't change any of my settings or apps will it? I am using mysterious beast if that matters. Also should I back up first?

I am running the Cyan Galaxy theme that i got from the toolbox. never thought that the theme would include that hack.

MMS Video Texts

I've posted this question a couple of times with no response. I am rooted using stock liberty 1.5 and i cannot send MMS Video Texts. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix? I have revereted back to stock using maderstcok .340, installed liberty 1.5, and only used liberty stock theme. Still no video texts. Please help. Thanks

have you tried another app. like handcent? I dont send videos but thats what i use for text, a lot better than stock. hope that helps
