[ROM]One small step for man one giant leap for --- Liberty 1.5 2/2/2011

I posted this over on the Android Forums but I know you hang here, so decided to join up. Was wondering if you could look into this and create a hotfix? If not, something that can be fixed in the next version of Liberty?

Thanks!

P.S. Others have noticed this as well, (check out the the next few posts after mine).

Love this ROM though!

I've got question. What was the font that installs with the ROM? Is it the one called stock? Cause it doesn't look like it :)

EDIT: Its not stock, just tried it. Ok I've changed it like 4 times and can't find original, lol.

have you tried another app. like handcent? I dont send videos but thats what i use for text, a lot better than stock. hope that helps

Wholeheartedly agree on that!

Handcent is truly a remarkable txt app, and should not go unnoticed. Everyone should be using it, well, not everyone, but most who want ease of texting. :)

Thanks for the responses, i am currently using handcent as my primary messenger, as soon as i click a video to send, it automatically says "cannot attatch file, file size too big" no matter how big the file is. On stock Droid X whenever you select a video to send it asks if "you would like to resize the video" and you do and it sends. When i re-flashed back to stock it sends mms video texts like a champ. The problem only occurs when i install liberty 1.5, i had the same issue with 1.0 and was hoping for a fix.

Did you happen to freeze or uninstall the stock messaging app? I found that NOT having it on the phone prevented me from sending MMS messages on Handcent for some reason.

sephtin, When I use the theme generator to install a bar mod it reverts back to the stock theme instead of my current theme. What am I doing wrong? I install the zip via bootstrap/cw. TY

Have you tried Google Voice? It is amazing, if you need an invite, shoot me a pm.

Regarding Google voice

While we are on this is there anyway to change on dialer when holding one instead of going to voicemail it changes to google voice ie your google voice number for the number 1?!?! This would be great THANKS!

I have never been able to get that battery life and i think i have found the culprit. I believe it is this program i use called multicon but I am not too sure. Also is that linear theme with changed battery because thats the same exact setup I have done =D.

Tis the nature of themes...

To install a "theme" of any sort (which includes what's available on my site...), it REPLACES files. So, when you generate your theme on my site, it creates a framework-res (and any other necessary files to create the options you choose on the site), and packages it up. When you install it, you are replacing the files on your phone.

Another few weeks, when I can include apps with themes on my site, I'll be contacting theme developers to include more of the popular/common themes on the site.. then it'll be easier to do full themes, etc.

This is a hold-over from the blur dialer config...
It's actually held in a SQLite database (iirc) or config file in /data/settings, iirc.
(or was it /data/data someplace.. I took a quick peek, and couldn't find it... It could be changed if you really needed to.. but not likely worth the effort.
