[ROM]One small step for man one giant leap for --- Liberty 1.5 2/2/2011

have you tried another app. like handcent? I dont send videos but thats what i use for text, a lot better than stock. hope that helps

Wholeheartedly agree on that!

Handcent is truly a remarkable txt app, and should not go unnoticed. Everyone should be using it, well, not everyone, but most who want ease of texting. :)

Thanks for the responses, i am currently using handcent as my primary messenger, as soon as i click a video to send, it automatically says "cannot attatch file, file size too big" no matter how big the file is. On stock Droid X whenever you select a video to send it asks if "you would like to resize the video" and you do and it sends. When i re-flashed back to stock it sends mms video texts like a champ. The problem only occurs when i install liberty 1.5, i had the same issue with 1.0 and was hoping for a fix.

This ROM runs very smooth with outstanding battery life. You guys really did do an amazing

job with this. And in all honesty...if you can improve the battery life more power to you, but

its not needed.

Hi. Just wanted to say this is a great ROM. One problem I and some others have noticed is a problem with the notifications in the drop down bar regarding voice mails. Does not matter if its VZW vm or GV. Here is my post here and some others having it as well on the Android Forums.

Liberty 1.5 is here - get in here - Page 3 - Android Forums

Can a hotfix be released for this or a permanent fix cooked into the next version of Liberty?

Thanks! :)

I am having a problem with the phone freezing up. The lock screen is very very faint and won't let me use it. I have to take the battery out to reboot it. it did it twice yesterday and once already today. The only things I changed so far was the font and I'm using the crystal x theme. Both from the toolbox. Very annoying if I'm trying to use the phone. Oh and I have the crystal x theme on my swype too.

I'm not completely positive, but perhaps download the BigDX Cyrstal X theme from the thread, then install it from the .zip file, rather than install it from the Liberty Toolbox, as it may be out of date...unless it installs it from the latest version...but not really sure.

I apologize for not reading every page of this thread... I did not see an answer to this.

I own an OG Droid and have been flashing roms for a while. Well, we just got my wife a droidx. I rooted and wanted to try out a rom on it so I picked liberty. Flashed this with no issues. Well, all except for the fact that all her contacts were gone. WHAT THE BEJESUS?!?! Thankfully I had backed up the stock ROM and restored. Contacts back. Not sure if I missed a step there but on my OG droid every time I flashed a rom my contacts were always there. Any ideas that I am missing. I am sure it is simple. Thanks in advance. Peace yo.

I have read through the thread and thought I remember seeing someone having trouble with the market not working. However, I believe the problem went away with a reboot or maybe clearing the cache of the Market app and then letting it do its thing.

I just noticed that I have not been getting market updates. So when I checked, it turns out the market only shows that I have 3 apps when it should be a bunch more. I have tried clearing the cache and data of the market, the dalvick cache, numerous reboots and nothing has worked.

If I search in the market for an app I currently have, it will say "Installed" or "Update". When I try updating an app that I have searched for manually, it says "starting download" and never goes any further. I have let it go overnight, and the next day it still says "starting download"...even through a reboot.

I am at a loss. I do not know what to do. Any suggestions?

By the way I have tried TB's market doctor and it went through all my apps and said it could not find any links to fix.

Before you flash Liberty or any ROM go to Settings --> Privacy --> and make sure Back Up My Data and Automatic Restore are checked. That way, when you flash the ROM and go through the process of logging into your google account everything should pop up. That's what i do and have yet to have a problem.

Normal contacts are sync'd with Verizon's "MyVerizon" using BackUpAssistant (BUA). If you migrate those contacts over to Google Contacts, they should never go missing again...
You can back them up on the phone to the SDCard, then ROM, and restore them into google contacts, or step by step to just export them from MyVerizon on the web and into Google Contacts via this method here:
Migrating contacts from "Phone" (BackUp Assistant), to Google Contacts

HTH!
